Black is the pick personally but I don't think the colour is that important. Getting the lure to do the right thing down there is the most important. Any colour will work

Black is really good but I have used the HL Peacock and that's been great as well , It is a good reddie imitation and one of the main baitfish for my local waters .

Hey mate, springs the best time to hit the dam if you're chasing the famous edge bite it has to offer. You can catch quality fish year round there but they stick close to timber for most of the year
