Use masterball on rayquaza, use it to fight Groudon, have groudon use up all of its moves especially rest, then go to work with Ultra and Timer Balls. Try to keep its HP at yellow, so when it struggles (since its going to take a long time and it smoves aren't effective against rayquaza) you have plenty of time to catch it.

Note: In emerald you must finish the game (defeat Champion Wallace) to get Groudon and Kyogre (Places may vary). However you can get Rayquaza late-game but not post-game, which means you can use Rayquaza against the elite four and champion. However in Ruby, you can get Groudon before the 8th gym, same rules apply to Kyogre in Sapphire.

To catch groudon Step 1 : go to that weather institute Step 2 : if he say that Route 116 go to Rustboro City Step 3 if you got in route 116 u will see a cave its a terra cave Step 4 : save before u capture it Step 5 give a pokemon that has a fire type (blaziken etc.) because of the Solar Beam that might kill the pokemons Step 6 : dont use master ball Step 7 : if groudon use rest use fire type attack (especially Blaze Kick) Step 8 : if groudon has a red-health catch it with a Ultra Balls Step 9: after u catch it save Ok i hope this is usefull -_-"

Terra Cave moves all around Hoenn. The only way to find it is to go to the weather institute & find out where there is a drought or a deluge. If it is a deluge, you want to look for a dive spot to enter Marine cave, which houses Kyogre.

You have to beat the game first. By that I mean you have to beat the Elite Four. Then go to the Weather building. He will then tell you where the sunlight is shining (Groudon) or where the rain is heavy (Kyogre). I hope that helped!

If u want to get the legendary Pokemon all u have to do is battle Steve after u won the elite four and Steve is in route 114 in the cave and look for him and you'll find him and battle him trust me he is there and go to the science guy after u won Steve and carrying castform that he give to u and the science tell the route where their are go back to get the other legend Pokemon search for them trust me for reals I'm not joking

probably the easiest way to catch groudon is with a welltrained level ( lv. 50 or higher ) with 'endeavor' and a little HP ( 10 or lower ) Just do some damage on groudon and when he uses 'rest' you can use endeavor and simply throw balls. It also works for kyogre and rayquaza, however, it's much more easy with groudon But using this tactics I caught all three of them in a simple Pokéball

First, go/fly/surf to Ever Grande City. There you can go in to the cave Victory road. When you've gotten trough it, you fill find the Pokemon Leuge. Note that you must have beaten all the gym leaders (I think so, remember watching Pokemon on TV :P). The Elite four are the first ones you will battle to become the Pokemon champion!
