Finding the offshore stuff is a great tip. Been up to Bwca a half dozen times 30 years ago. When i got back to Wisconsin I couldn't even bring myself to fish. Bw spoiled me.

Hawkeye Fishtrax is one worthwhile to look in to. It's likely what I'm going to get and runs on 4 AAA batteries and if you just bring a set and spare set, you'll be good for a long while with a true sonar that's worthwhile

Great video and advice! I just did a trip to Alice Lake up there starting at the kawish.. we smashed Walleye every time we fished.

Fishsmart on your phone works good for seeing underwater structure also.

I've used a basketball net. It's lightweight and strong.

Sorry Joel, love your videos and expertise but i think your items are a bit off. For the area I have gone into anyway. Been up into the numbers lakes 10+ times, for that area... 1. Rope around a rock for an anchor, mesh bag will rip. 2. Don't need a drift sock. 3. Buy a Deeper sonar and a lithium ion battery pack to charge with. 4. Have fun and relax even if the fish are not biting.

What works for someone might not work for someone else. 100s if not 1000s of people use anchors. I’m a fan of the spring creek anchor bags. I also use a garmin graph to map the lakes I’m on.
