I would also suggest photographing the back with the back plate in place, before removing it. This can help with aligning it later. It's something I do with all sorts of DIY repair and can be a life saver if you get confused.

Helpful video. I encountered a few problems that I was able to solve as such: 1. Mine had a sticker over the battery telling me about the need to ground the battery to reset it. I completely removed the sticker and used a knife's edge to get under it 2. My battery retaining clip was difficult to remove and I slightly bent it in the process so it would not relatch. I just bent it in the opposite direction and it latched again. 3. Make sure to observe the polarity of the battery when you remove it. Mine was + side up.

I was wondering whether it was necessary to put the white battery seal sticker back on (the one you're talking about). I removed mine though I'm wondering if I should have kept it.

Having a similar issue with the clip. Sound like we have a similar model. On the model I’m working with you have to pull the battery cover to the side and then it should unlatch, rather than just pulling up

It took few tries and a little more patience than I normally have but I got it back together. Couple of tips: 1. Get a base/magnifying glass combo to be hands free. 2. Get a direct light on the watch. I used my mini headlamp. 3. When you re-assemble use a took to confirm the watch is in the case and then gently "play" with the arc'd metal tabs that make contact with the watch case and look for the external buttons to push the metal tabs. If you see this you should be level, set and ready to close the watch back up. Thx for the video Watch Review! Very helpful!

In case you still struggle, you have to use your tweezers or some really small thin blade and unhook the cage. The cage literally just hooked onto a plastic bump which is visible from the top of the cage. Just pry it undone by taking the tweezers and going under the side with the double stem of the cage. I know its actually hard to explain but easier to do when you understand. I hope this kind help

Hi Friend. My G-shock has got a one piece band that goes across the back of the watch and seems to be held in place with 4 tiny screws near where the lugs would be on a normal watch. I’ve taken the 4 screws out but nothing seems to be coming apart easily to remove the band. Do you have any tips? I can get to the 4 screws holding the back cover on but I can’t remove the white plastic cover plate because the band is in the way. hello, ive destroyed the head of one screw on my casio watch. Is ther any way how i could remove the srew?
@chrischovanec20935 жыл бұрын
Yes ders 2 ways to do it either get a small skrew extractor from home Depot if they got that small of a size they come in sets and the other way is to drill it out but this would be extremely hard with a watch to not damage anything ... Another way is to cut a straight line in top of bolt so u can A flat head on it...
@chrischovanec20935 жыл бұрын
Oh jus thought of one more way.. so this way kinda getto and not usually the best but it does work sumtimes and perhaps the first way that u should try due to it being so delicate spot and not alot of room for air... So what u do is get a rubber band and put it flat on the screw then just get ur Phillips and try the screw again. So to reilistrate the rubber band should be sandwichd between screw and Phillips .
@gaboaaa235 жыл бұрын
@@chrischovanec2093 Hello, Screextractor costs about 25-30 Euros. The dremel version can work maybe. But after that i will need a ticker screw i gues because the screw "shaft" will get damaged. Im thinking of the streight line version you mentioned last. Will see how it turns out. Thanks

@@chrischovanec2093 yes saw that option in some of the videos ive watched now! I will get the son of a ....screw out :)
@chrischovanec20935 жыл бұрын
Oh good luck and let me know how it goes and ya I'd try the flat version first because you could always move to drilling it out if it doesn't. And you might need a bigger screw what you do to make it as clean as possible is start with the smallest drill bit you have and just keep moving up one size at a time the extractor would be your best bet but I get what you're saying I wouldn't spend 25 to $30 if you're only going to use it once but if you are a handyman or work with tools a lot or even here an there it's a great investment and can get you out of a lot of shytty situations
