How to change a Headlight Bulb on a Land Rover Freelander 2

This was very helpful in showing how to replace. I did not think it would be designed like this. This saved a lot of headache trying to get the lens out and replacing the bulb.

Thanks again for this 2nd vid like the first one showed how easy this 'otherwise daunting looking process' is. One thing to note though my LR FL2 is a later model and uses HB3 P9005 'right angle' bulbs for the dipped main and not the HB7s as shown here and provided by my local stockist who proclaimed "all land rovers use HB7s" - so worth checking before removing the headlamp. Thank you for this. I also have a LR2 - Year 2013 and I was wondering if the Main Beam lights are different than the ones in this video. Are the bulbs HB3 - 55w ? Would it cause any problems if I replace them with HB3 - 60w, or higher wattage?

I replaced the dipped with a P9005 12V 60W HB3 Right Angle Halogen from Autolamps not sure what the main was I didn't look sorry - but regarding the 60W dipped so far so good

So are the dip and main beams both h7-499? I bought main ,but need to change the dip. Is the dip the small left round area (on left light) Thanks

Are these the same bulbs as on a 2004? And would the Osrams also fit.....plus, do you do light guards for the FL1(face lift) thanks in advance.

Very helpful; on these modern cars it's always more difficult to do things yourself (yes, even changing the bulb...) and as it's my daily driver I don't want to f*ck things up ahaha. I'm going to get myself some bulbs and do the maintenance. Thnx!

Thanks guys, but did not realise there are so many versions of the headlamp! how about a video of how to remove the front "glass", maybe fitting a DRL strip in?
