How to Change a Headlight Switch | 2005 - 2008 Dodge Magnum/Charger and Chrysler 300

My Headlights were acting crazy and I couldn't drive my car at night because of it, so I decided to change my headlight switch. I also discovered a secret feature available to anyone with a photosensor in the dash, automatic headlights! This video should be relevant for the 2005-2008 Dodge Magnum/Charger and Chrysler 300. It may work on the 2008-2010 Dodge Charger/Challenger and Chrysler 300 as well.

Just an fyi... you can retro fit the "non auto" headlight switch if you don't need to swap out the original.....just pull the knob off and remove the stopper tab that prevents it from rotating further left...

Thanks for this video. My fog lamp switch became erratic on my 2007 SRT8 Super Bee. The switch assembly fit nicely and functioned perfectly including the Automatic lamps.

I ordered a headlight switch from eBay with the auto feature. I swapped it out in less than 1 minute. I used a flat head screwdriver to get it out. Great video boss. Makes my car feel newer lol.

Hello i have a 2007 magnum rt and the passenger side headlight won't turn on. I tested all the fuses they're good. Could it be a bad relay? I cannot find any diagram for the relays.

I removed the switch headlights are on when the car is on. Having trouble finding a replacement for a non auto switch. Chrysler part is twice as much.

Do your fog lights still work with the push button instead of a separate button?

My photo sensor in my 2007 charger se looks more flush with the dash and not really piping out above it. Would this still work?

Would it cause one headlight to stop working but the bulb works?

Maybe one of the connectors on the switch wasn’t seated properly or was damaged during the installation.

I’m haven’t forgotten about the suburban or the NV4500 swap! I can really only handle one vid per week, though, and I’ve been working through some older footage trying to get those videos out. The next Burb video should be out sometime in April.
