I owned a 2007 Pacifica with the 4.0 liter and six speed auto. It felt like you were driving a sports car. Very little body lean, fantastic ride and went around corners a lot better than a 4500 lb vehicle had any right to. Its higher center of gravity did seem to hurt it. The interior just exuded quality. The dash layout was great. The 7 passenger interior was very flexible. With the low ratio first gear it would bolt off the line. You had to actually roll on the throttle or it would spin the front wheels. The Navigation display in the middle of the speedo was a innovation I'm surprised no one else copied. The second Gen Pacifica was lust a gussied up Grand Caravan. They were a joke compared to the original. And it was the original. The Pacifica was the first crossover and it was a brilliantly executed vehicle that Chrysler neglected in its marketing. The only reason I sold mine is I lost my job and needed the money. Wish I had it back.

I really enjoyed my Magnum RT. Easy to work on and very responsive to modifications. I added a MBRP 3" stainless exhaust and loved the sound. Upgraded to SRT8 suspension, brakes and wheels. Really hauled ! Could swallow an amazing amount of gear or cargo too. When I finally traded it into get a Mustang the Ford dealership gave me a really good trade in because it was in great shape and they had become scarce and in high demand. It was resold in less than a week ! My only complaints was the rather bland interior and noisy, short lived front suspension components.

Wshington State Patrol had a number of the SXT's on the highways too. All were the 'midnight blue' and they were easily able to catch up to whomever with just the standard 250 HP 3.5 motor. Washington SP decided to mark their Magnums with the party lights, etc. Mt SXT is the midnight blue color too and often folks would kinda slow down on freeways when they were fast approaching from behind. They'd get next to me, give me look, and then fly away. I've read some have had issues with the tie rod ends. Mine on my 2007 SXT got a bit loose at 70k miles so I replaced with after- market quality tie rods and the after market- rods are manufactured with grease fittings so they should last a lot longer that OEM's. That's all for suspension and I now have 190k miles on the car. Still runs silky smooth just like the day bought it and it looks as if my SXT just rolled out of the showroom. Dean Seattle

Years ago I was browsing the web for different call styles to kill time and I just happened to come across the Magnum for the first time and I immediately know I wanted one. The sheer concept of a 'muscle wagon' was so odd and different that I fell in love with the idea in general. Last year, I was finally able to get one and I have loved ever since. It has power to spare, it has room for my friends, it can carry loads of cargo. It basically has everything I could want in a car. I am very practical minded, so I never wanted a super-charged powerhouse with less square footage of storage than a mousetrap. I love mini-vans and larger cars because of their versatility. The Magnum offers that AND enough power to kick some ass. Love, love, love my Magnum!

Fourth in '13, Chrysler changed wheelbase of 300 and Charger to 120" (like Magnum) which means more shared parts, so more BS about sales. This leads me to put credibility in story of executive who just hated the model. Buick has Regal Tour X (wagon). Volvo has new V90 (wagon). Mercedes still offers E Class wagon. Now, almost 15 years later, I'm looking for one to be my hobby/project car. Even after all this time, they still look really nice. Well kept Magnums still look amazing when I see them in parking lots around here and easily fit in with all the new cars around them.

The SXT rwd was the sweet spot. Especially as a demo or low mileage. The base was a cheap and underpowered “Rental” car, whilst the R/T and SRT-8’s were too expensive (and still looked/felt cheap at over $40,ooo!). But the SXT had all of the advantages, with few downsides. It was ‘reasonably’ good on fuel and it looks cool as Hell (or is it “hot as Hell”?). Thanks for the video.

Great video I have been looking forward to this upload. The Magnum was a beautiful car that I think people were unsure of and like you said we live in a world of SUV's and crossovers which makes me see why Dodge thought the journey would be the answer but yet another vehical that fell short of it's competitors. The thing about the Magnum was there is really nothing else like it and I think that profits would have eventually of gone up if they gave the Magnum a chance. I sold my beautiful 05 sxtMagnum for a 2007 Dodge nitro and have to say both treated me well and we're more striking then any other vehicle I saw on the street. If Dodge decided to do a revival of the Dodge Magnum I couldn't help myself but to add it to my mopar car family. Marspeed once again great video Looking forward to to the next.

@@nicholasfield6127 this is copied and pasted from wikipedia The Magnum name was revived in 2004 for the 2005 model year, as a station wagon based on the Chrysler LX platform. The new Magnum was a badge engineered station wagon version of the Chrysler 300 manufactured at the same plant in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The Magnum had four engine options; the SE features the 190 hp 2.72 L LH V6, the SXT had the 250 hp (190 kW) 3.5 L V6, and the (RT) had the new 340 hp 5.7 L Hemi V8. I bought an '05 Magnum R/T this January. Off a used car lot in Sacramento. It only had 82,760+ miles on it. Clean, 2 owner car. Dark green in color. I picked it up for $13.2k. I love it. It's the perfect car for a growing family like mine who are looking to move forward. It has the room and versatility we need. And with how crazy people drive these days, the 5.7 Hemi provides me with all the power I need. It's strictly factory stock, but I do plan to update and upgrade it a little. By putting in both a large or long ratio diff gear and a Gear Vendors overdrive, the mileage will improve significantly. By adding aftermarket heads and a new exhaust system, I could get it up to 400 hp. With that combo, it'll be set to keep up with anything in terms of speed, power, and economy.

I just wish I could have gotten her brand new off of the lot. I live in wisconsin and travel all through out the entire state very often and even more so in winter witch I would prefer not to do, but she rides very smooth, is very comfortable to sit in and drive for long periods of time, has never failed to start and has never gotten stuck. I have also raced my magnum with no issues and have smoked my fair share of other cars. Keep in mind, she is 100 percent stock from the dealer. Would love to buy another one, if I can find the right deal for the same model, however finding my specific model is very difficult as it is rare. I have never seen the exact model with all the same options. I would very highly recomend getting a Magnum.

I came up with a perfect quote and it is "why have a station wagon when you have an SUV or a CUV" As for the Magnum thriving today no it would still die and inglourious death because nobody wants coupes compact cars sedans both midsize and full size and last but not least station wagons customers want crossover utility vehicles and when it comes to cheaper vehicles in car company lineups a nice crossover which you can charge 5 to 6,000 more than a comparable compact car provides a nice fat profit. To end this post I loved the Magnum I like the Magnum more than the charger I thought a magnum would be a nice little cool daily driver but again Dodge just couldn't sell them and big enough numbers in the age of sport utility vehicles and the subsequent crossovers which are or have replaced everything Edit magnums especially the V8 models are appreciating in value and this was before 2022 enthusiasts see these as cool and desirable which in some ways is the Magnum having the last laugh
