How to Change a Jet Ski Battery

I have problems trying to put on the bands that hold the battery, is there an easy way to do it?

My exact problem many videos skip this part and especially on the newer seadoos the battery strap is in a terrible location. I’ve tried using a 5/8 dowel with a notch in it but so far no luck. If you are using any tools tho make sure you tie them onto you so if you do drop it you can get it out easy, because there will be no getting it back if you don’t. you could also try using a open end wrench to force it down
