How to change cabin air filter on a 2019 Nissan Kicks

I thought you put the new one in sideways. The folds were in a different direction from the one you pulled out. At least that is what it looked like to me. But I'm glad you showed where the filter goes.

The top of that filter door does come off. It's clipped like the bottom. Twisting and pulling on it like that will break it. After you unclip the bottom, follow the door up to the top with your fingers and feel around for the clip. Taking the door fully off also allows you to install the filter without smashing it/deforming it to get it in.
