Filling the coolant with distilled water is repeated 3-4 times or the coolant 50/50 is repeated that many times?
@Sals_Garage11 ай бұрын
Distilled water since it’s much cheaper to waste that but 50/50 coolant would be best.

Hey Sal, correct me if I’m wrong. But I thought if you use antifreeze you don’t need distilled water. Because the antifreeze does the anti-corrosion.

Never use these screw clamps. The tensioner one u just changed is the best design as it grips more on high pressure.

Guys you don’t need to use distilled water for coolant flush and change. If you don’t drain all distilled water out of radiator AND engine block you WILL leave water in the cooling system. ALL DATA says to just flush and refill using radiator drain plug, below radiator. You will never find a recommendation for using distilled water when doing coolant flush on Honda service manuals.

I do not see how your are getting all of the distilled water out of the system, you are winding up with a very diluted coolant using the Honda 50/50 mix, which will damage the motor and other components as it is not cooling properly. Using this distilled water method, you should be using 100% Honda Concentrate fluid, not the 50/50 mix you used to refill. Also, Honda does not recommend coolant flushing their motors, a simple drain and fill every 30,000 miles is all that is required. This could be sooner or later depending upon the operating conditions. And with a turbo, I would definitely do the Honda coolant drain and fill every 30,000 miles without fail, or sooner if you really get on the motor.

Its not every 30,000 miles, thats excessive maintanenace, just more money for the dealer, its when the maintenance minder comes on which is around 100,000 miles, modern coolant last a very long time.

@@VeagleTsui there are multiple options. I showed where the drain plug was if people want to do it. It’s actually difficult to remove the whole entire intake and put it back together so this method is more efficient for me.

WTF 😳. You are way over doing it. Ppl majority of this is not necessary. Don't ever use any kind of water. Wrong clamp. That new clamp will not expand when the hose gets hot. Making it possible to blow out the hose. This is why there is clamp on the so it may expand when it warm. This guy has no idea what he is doing. He didn't burp the sytoms for the air bubbles. Please don't destroy your car. Do not listen to this fool. 🙏🙏🙏

Bleeding the coolant system has already been covered in the video. Distilled water is fine to use in the coolant system as well to flush it out. I haven’t had any issues at all with the new clamp and I have used it plenty of times on other cars. Good day 👍
