Everything was perfect besides filling the coolant to the full line. Once you run the quad the fluid will expand and then it will overflow, only fill it to the minimum at first, run the quad, then see where your fluid level is at when hot.

Good vid, but guys #1 open radiator cap #2 remove second bolt on water pump housing. Think about it, same as changing oil, to let it 'flow' you vent it first before opening the drain plug.

I have a question, first of all great video, but shouldn’t you lightly tight everything when the water is in there so that it can break apart any coolant that is still in the system? After a couple minutes of running on just water, then top off with coolant and make sure the respirator bolt is leaking a clear stream of coolant to make sure there isn’t bubbles coming out. Please let me know if this is right

Nice job but this yamaha lube in my country it is not available I change it myself and used ac Delco red coolant for cars It OK or not good for the engine and how many times must the coolant to be changed in year

Hey Danny I have a 2015 Raptor and I've only used it for about like 10 to 15 hrs. and I haven't done the oil change cause I haven't used it, they told me that I need to take it into the dealership where I brought it for them to I guess diagnostic doing and oil change because they're going to take out the engine and take a look at it make sure everything's fine is that true or can I do the oil change at home. Don’t you have to run the quad for a couple mins with distilled water after draining the coolant to fully flush out? I read it on other videos

Not 100 necessarily unless ur coolant is very old..mine was 3 months old I just did it for demonstrating purposes

That wasnt distilled water but spring water that you poured into the cooling system which you shouldnt do because of the mineral content in it which will lead to corrosion and also you didnt bleed the air out through the bleed screw at the end.

MyCityStreets it is important to add water because with purified water you clean all the dirt and excess that was left behind..trust me 2$ of putting water will save you from other higher costly parts to fix..and as long as it’s from a store ur fine just don’t use regular 💦

Your over float bowl for your coolant is only supposed to be filled halfway full otherwise your running too rich.

You don't need to change the coolant I have an 2005 Trx450r I haven't changed the coolant since 2005 because coolant isn't the same as oil the coolant is just to cool the engine so it never gets abused

Evo Lover Yamaha recommends flushing and changing the coolant every 2 years....which granted is not nearly as often as oil which they say to do every 6 months but it should be done to maximize bike life

I've never changed my coolant on my 08 700R Raptor l o l I it's about time I do it but I've been putting it off because the coolant looks brand new also my quad has very low hours I may have put on 50 to 100 hours hours
