Yes I used a blowtorch and a hot socket on the end of an extension to poke a hole. Very fast and easy. Watch the video where I installed the Renthal Raptor Bend handlebars

We don’t run aftermarket headers, but we do run slip ons. We still get occasional deceleration pops. So I am really glad I watched your vid!

I have a question that has nothing to do with the video but about the rev limiter and though well maybe someone can explain I see these stock raptor and they hit their rev limiter and makes that cool noise if you know what I mean. When I hit mine it just sounds like the rpms are to high no revlimiter noise just the rpms getting louder ! Is their something wrong with my raptor ? It’s a 2019 se

They are really nice on the straights but im not used to the cornering. Could be me or they could need professional adjustment. The need to carry a pump for adjustments is kind of a pain.

@@johnsayman2271 sorry I've never tuned a zoom zoom carb, does it have a fuel meter like a lectron carb or is it jetted? Does it run any better with the choke on? If it does that means that it's on the lean side and needs more fuel. If the popping continues with the choke on even it may be too rich and you need to lean up your tune with less fuel

I installed one of these block plates and now she’s running hot, the spark plug wire going back to module the wire start to melt. The wire was 3-4 inches from the exhaust pipe. Never was a problem before

yes it just blocks off the air port up there. aftermarket pipe is not required.

a slight pop is ok but these things come tuned very lean from the factory which can make them run hotter than needed and it is already 110F here in the summer. Adding more fuel to richen the mixture with a proper tune helps make the bike run smoother. the AIS injects extra air into the system. I don't care so much about the pop as I do about it running correctly. backfires can be a sign of too much fuel or not enough fuel in some cases

@@bigstevegapping6315 raptor more torque off the line and overall HP. Yfz450 better handling and overall mid range performance with weight taken into consideration. Yfz is more race oriented while the raptor is considered a recreation trail machine. Both machines can be modified for drag, dune, street riding depending on what you want.

it would have been easier to sandwich the block off plate using longer bolts. that way you dont need to mess with any of the wiring and tubing. plus it makes it look like its never been modified.

doesnt stop it completely but it helps. popping can also be from the tune being off.
