I just came back from a muddy ride today and I have to wait a couple days till I have a day off to clean it. It usually takes 2 hours for me to clean my 2006 LTZ400. I hate washing the tires. I use a Muffler Exhaust Wash Plug when washing and storing. It's funny how I just sat down to drink a beer and this video came up on my feed. Aloha and take care

Always make sure to oil your chain before each ride, this prevents stiff chains and maybe even a snapped chain, Just go to your local walmart or something, and get chain wax, what we do is we put our raptors up on blocks, put it in gear and spray the chain -helpful tip from an internet person

ri hernandez I like red but my favorite color is orange. The only red thing I’ve ever wanted was my truck, I had to get the red raptor when the opportunity came up 😆

what do you use to cover the air filter with
@PeteHager
@PeteHager 2 жыл бұрын
I just have the supplied FCI outerwear over the media filter. Thankfully I haven't had issues with things getting wet. I do put a latex glove over my exhaust most of the time, sometimes I forget it. I always run the machine for at least 5 minutes afterwards to make sure any water that could've snuck into the exhaust evaporates out👍

You should get an exhaust plug. Then you spray around the exhaust without water getting in it.

Spider Graphix made them for me. I told the what colors and logos I wanted and they made me several different examples until we narrowed it down. They have a huge presence in the GNCC world so they're supposed to be pretty durable, so far they're holding up nicely!

I'm hoping to get the new exhaust in motion next week. It looks like I'll be going to a different brand instead of Empire! They weren't too enthusiastic about sponsorship so I'm going to be working with a different brand 😲

What about airfilter, shouldn't be left in while washing as it easily can let water in. I like to take out my filter and soak it in cleaner before washing then post-wash clean oil it and clean the airbox.
@PeteHager
@PeteHager 4 жыл бұрын
Classical Cubing that’s a good idea. Now that I have an open topped air box I’m pretty careful not to spray high pressure real close to the seat seal. I wash my air filter pretty much every ride during the regular season. During the winter it lasts a bit longer

@@PeteHager Alright cool, I also run a open box on my 400x so I pretty much need to clean my filter and box every couple rides since here in North Texas is super dusty
