Cracked me up Jason...bangin around the drum like a gorilla in his cage with no banana...hysterical. Kudos for the video instructions and bravo for posting a 'real time' repair with no prep work. Worth mentioning is giving a good cleanup and vacuum while doing this maintenance to prevent dryer fire hazards - not so uncommon in households.

Way to go! Thanks for your help. I bought a belt for 4 bucks ...didnt need rollers or spring pulley. I wasnt sure how to route the belt , but your video showed me. Up and running in no time...

Okay so, not all of us have a super hottie to help us along the way. I am glad you posted it though. It shows that dryer repair doesn't have to be a drag, but instead may be a playful couples activity.

"super hottie"?! Damn, there mustn't be many female options in your area/life.

Thanks for posting. With the knowledge you all provided we was able to repair ours with no instructional manual.

very encouraging! i thought the wide band on the back of the drum was the belt, until I watched your video. i'm off to the parts store.

Thanks, your video was a whoot. The pro in the other video gave some nice heads up hints but you guys were fun to watch.

This is instructive, but an example of how things go when amateurs like us attempt things like this.

So Cute! Thanks... I love the way you dove into to unplug the dryer... LOL .. Thanks for the vid! When you take the screws out by the lint collector.. be extra careful... it is easy to drop them into the dryer assembly. (Been there, done that). Put a rag or something into the lint collector, that way, if you drop a screw... it wont get lost.. or worse, damage the motor. Buy your lady a socket set for her birthday. :) The 2 screws to take the front panel off are 5/16 socket. In my experience, if you turn the drum manually "backwards"... like if you are trying to access clothes to make it easier to get to them.. it will knock the belt off of the idler pulley.. arrrg.. happened to me too many times! If you have to go in to put the belt back on the idler pulley.. my advice is that you my as well replace the belt while you're in there. Thanks for a good vid! You guys are cool. The hardest part of the repair is to make sure your route the belt correctly. That is the confusing part... :)

A socket set - even a cheap one - would have been a huge help. But still good to see a decent appliance go back into service another 10+ years instead of being thrown on the scrap pile.

Electricians are sometimes a bit impractical with placement of outlets. Thanks for the demonstration. Crescent wrench will do, but it's a little easier if you have a socket or nutdriver.

My problem my front panel is not one piece it is two piece. I pretty much got the top off and unscrew the front top but can't get the lower panel off. It does seem to be welded or bolted on but I can find access to the screw if it exists? My lint tramp isn't on top but right inside once you open the door. The video seem to skip over that portion? Any ideas?
