6:40 - I tried this and the only thing that happens is the fork spins around...
@ScuffedMechanic4 ай бұрын
It sits pretty tight so I would suggest that you brake it loose while the fork is still in the clamp on the bike and then screw it out like in the video.

Will a 1/2 inch drive scocket on the T70 go down the tube?
@ScuffedMechanic2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is also what I used.

Can u get the alan key bolt out at 7.33 with out the extension bar down the actual tube , as ours won't come out
@ScuffedMechanic2 жыл бұрын
You can’t get it out without the long extension. This was probably the most annoying part of this repair.

Hello, what size L-shape tool did you use to open the top bolt on the fork?
@ScuffedMechanic2 жыл бұрын
Size 14 hex-key.
@tom.pinter2 жыл бұрын
@@ScuffedMechanic Thanks, in the meantime I found out that the T70 torx key they recommend for the inner rod is also good for the fork top bolt.

I did my best. You could always get a Haynes manual and do it the easy way.

The video without any commentary is just wastage of time.

Perfectly useful video, straight to the point, sped up to right speed, shows everything needs doing, nobody going on for 10 mins talking pointless bollocks. This is the kind of video mechanics should always post. Well lit too.

Hello! Thanks for the detailed instructions. My left feather knocking on each bump. I changed the oil two times (disassembled completely like you, did not notice obvious reasons). What can knock there? Maybe something at the bottom part? video of the knock: drive.google.com/file/d/1sE_ADMkIOQ3oKi-gkJxDmPRWPM3U_3gI/view

Does it feel like something is hitting on the inside or is it just sound?
@ruslanmaksymiv2 жыл бұрын
@@ScuffedMechanic It's just a sound and you can always hear it in the pits, or when you push the fork sharply (like on my video). Could it be some part inside is worn out? A small sleeve or spring, for example. But I compared all the disassembled parts and did not notice anything different.
@ScuffedMechanic2 жыл бұрын
I don’t think it’s anything to worry about and if you have disassembled the forks and not seen anything wrong it is probably just random noise.
