This is genuinely a very helpful video. Well documented and showing torque specs is helpful for people without quick access to that information. Well done guys.

Unfortunately, we don't have any tutorials of replacing the engine and autotransmission mounts in the Bmw E60. But we have a lot of other videos of the Bmw E60 and they can be found here: kzbin.info/aero/PLWep5LzT0sxlpE0W2VePTJYKcP1HknmRp AUTODOC

Looks like useful to measure wheel centre to arch whilst on ground for bolt tightening or do you lift until car goes light on axle stands?

@@autodocuk 7:33, how far to jack up strut. I'm just about to replace wheel bearing on a Z4 E89.
@SEllis-wd9nxАй бұрын
I know this is two years old but for those that see this going forward. You can get the ride height and how to measure it online. Different measuring technique will offer different measurements. Such as top of fender arch to center of hub or top of wheel arch to bottom of rim with the wheel installed. While the vehicle is on stands you can set the ride height with a jack and access the bolts form under the car. Never lift a car so that it is light on the Jack stands unless you are removing it from the stands. This is dangerous especially if it's on four stands.

I can attest it (looking into BMW TIS) - in particular, for the control and tension arms, tie rod ball joint - and the bearing itself! Moreover, on e60 the TIS demands replacing also the bolts fixing the arms..

Touched all over the brake disc with a oily glove, not a major problem, but not the best practise.
