I may be wrong, but as far as I remember, a bearing should never be lubricated to proceed with its assembly, the surface that receives it must be dry and grease-free

Looks simple enough! But is the press tool not better?

This video is for informational purposes only and does not guarantee a specific result. In this case, the part was not tightly clamped. You should choose methods depending on the complexity of a particular repair.

Never spray lubricant on, or near your brake discs or pads 13:19...... using brake cleaner afterwards is not the answer!

What was the torque setting on the wheel bearing? You don't just impact gun then up!! Or you risk damaging the race.

You can find this information in the technical documentation for the repair of your car or we recommend contacting the service.

Helpful vid, but he kept pulling the torque wrench harder after it clicked for all the bigger fasteners. Some of them were already over-tightened by the rattle gun before the torque wrench was used. Over-tightened fasteners can be bad, plus kt's a bad habjt, because it can damage some torque wrenches. Also, he fitted the disc withoout cleaning off the oil and grease he put on there while he was working.

WARNING: the front hub nut needs 280 Nm (source: Haynes manual), and not 162 Nm. This is very dangerous!
@autodocuk Жыл бұрын
You are absolutely right and the correct tightening torque is 280 Nm.

Generally an excellent guide, however 2 -points that need to be reviewed here. 1). You should not be using standard 'chrome' multi-point sockets with an impact wrench. 2). You fully tighten all fixing bolts/nuts with an impact wrench and then attempt to 'torque-up' the bolts/nuts with a torque wrench. These fixings could already be over-tightened.

Thank you for your helpful feedback. We have already taken into account all the mistakes and have tightened all the nodes only with a torque wrench in our new videos. AUTODOC
