Thanks for a great video, it helped a great deal and removed the self doubt of doing it at home. Mind you, I had to turn the sound off due to the background music, terrible repetetive choice. Having said that, to those that ask about prefilling the filter with diesel before starting the vehicle, it is not required at all, it is not neccessary. Once you have reinstalled the filter and the connections, just turn the key on and leave it on for about a minute without cranking to let the fuel pump go to work. The engine will fire after approx 10 seconds of cranking, and Bob's your uncle, job done.

Hi, when you installed the new diesel filter it is not needed to do any additional procedure like draining or filling diesel filter, ? just replace, hoses and wires connections and run ?

There is no way to give an exact answer. The case is that the type of fuel filter depends on the type of car engine and its volume.

G'day matey, I had the same trouble with my 2007 diesel Santa Fe, put the foot down and look Ma, no acceleration. Changed the fuel filter and Bob's your uncle, problem solved. I would advise you to put some Biocide, anti fungal stuff in your fuel tank and apart from removing the water and fungi, will also clean your injectors and improve performance by a mile.. Cheers..

How come ye didn't show the bleeding of the system after putting on the new filter. A fairly important part of the job!! Ye didn't even mention it!?!? Not sure if I'll be going to Autodoc for any advice in the future. And as for the wishy washy answers to people's questions Very disappointed.

You said it is to show the sequence of repairs, BUT YOU DID NOT FOLLOW the sequence. Essentially, a useless video. A person follows your video, and ends up stuck with a problem. Learning videos should show all steps, the tools used, and sequence so JOB IS DONE RIGHT. I have followed many of your videos (eg- brakes, struts, etc). Good job most of the time, but this one not so well. A video should also always start with the model year and engine size mentioned i title or beginning of the video.
