After applying the griptape, if you had sanded it before cutting, the corners are easier to cut because the griptape is thinner at that point. Make for cleaner lines. Love the riot kit so much fun.

Definitely looks nice! Don’t worry about the bearings, they fit in nicely. But why remove the trucks and add visible screws? I feel that the screws under the grip looks cleaner.

Just in case I need to take off the trucks or tighten those screws.

You can do that even if the screws are below the griptape. Just gently press on the screw through the griptape and it will lock itself while you tighten the nut.

Daniel that foam grip tape, will it still glue to the board after you heated it? I mean can you for example just heat and loose the area around the trucks, and then glue it back to the board again? I have a Meepo NLS pro that also have that foam grip tape that cover the bolts, and I might have to change the rear motor truck on it.

Isopropyl alcohol also helps a lot to remove grip tape. You can also spray it with pulverizer on tape for convenience.

If the baseplate screws are countersunk, then you don’t need to take off the baseplates. I removed them because I want the screws to be accessible and not covered by the new grip tape.

I like to only remove a small amount of the backing (about an inch) then get it centered and tack it down, then remove the rest of the backing. This way I don't have to worry about the adhesive side touching the board while I am lining it up.

Helmets are only 1 part of protection while boarding. I never ride without knee pads, hip pads, elbow pads, and skateboard gloves with thick padded palm protection.

Considering the physics of how these boards work it astonishes me that none of them offer options for heavier grip. There’s already a brand that offers really good tape, Vicious Grip Tape, that is used extensively by the downhill community. It ruins your shoes much faster but basically glues your feet to the board. It also comes in 12x10 mats instead of long rolls so you can place it just where you need. I’ve been in the market for an electric board and my main concern with a lot of them is voiding warranty for changing the grip.

Mount bearings on your trucks' axles vertically (board lying sideways) with your bodyweight. No risk of damaging the bearing shields from pushing it in manually or with a hammer.

I want to be able to access the screws holding the truck baseplates. If I don't take off the trucks then those screws will be covered under the new grip tape. Some people prefer that for a cleaner look.

Hammer the bearings is not recommended! Just use your trucks to slide the bearing inside the wheels ;) The kegel is only 80mm, why did not choose the caguama 85mm? Keep your excellent work!

Try Getting a B DUROMETER the durometer svale go from 0-100 BUT is only accurate in the middle 50% (25-75) A durometer is a leftover from skating with hard wheels (street skating) B or C is a lot more effective for e-skate....

You should have been cutting from the top of the board, not below with a direct downwards cut. That would allow you to trim downwards and not lose any of the adhesive edge. Just my thoughts.

you shouldn't hammered the bearings because it could damaged the internal part of the bearings, to put the bearing into the wheels simply use your trucks against the wheels (reverse the wheels position so the front face wheels facing inside of your trucks) and put a little force until the bearings sit completely into the wheels

using hammer isn't good over time you can actually use the tool to push it in with the bigger diameter part or I use my fingers so you don't damage the bearing.
