Excellent video, it helped me replace the pads on my G30. Avoid using copper grease. It isn't a lubricant. A much better choice is a proper brake grease like Cera Tec.

Good straight to the point video. Question. Can you also use a screwdriver to push the pistons on the REAR caliper AFTER rolling back the electromechanical actuator? Or do you need a clamp or special tool

@solaadebisi8892 Yes I believe so pal. I've not done the rears but I did research it. As long as you use ISTA to roll back the rear brake lock, you can go ahead and treat it like a regular brake caliper. No need for special tool. I generally use. G clamp once they're off the vehicle to properly wind back. Hope that helps? Let me know how you get on!

@FixItWithJon thanks again. I replaced my G30 rear pads yesterday and I can confirm that you can push the pistons back with a screwdriver 🪛 Cheers

Not good to start the lug nuts with a torque wrench great way to cross thread ask me how I know.

Good tip Steven :-) I was tempted to reply with "how do you know?" lol. Honestly I'm comfortable starting the wheel bolts "lug nuts" with the electric wrench - it has a very slow start speed if you're gentle on the trigger & I'm very used to it. However - you are correct, it is best practise to start them off by hand to minimise the risk of cross threading.

Yes absolutely right buddy - make sure you tighten up roadwheel lug nuts with a torque wrench. 150Nm I believe is necessary

So there's only one wear sensor per axle?

@BLX187 Yes pal - absolutely.

This is pretty common. Assumption is that both sides will wear at the same rate. If the brakes on one side are wearing faster than the other side, there should be pretty obvious symptoms that something is wrong, like the car pulls to one side while either just driving along or under braking.

Safety tip: do not put your leg under the car while it's jacked up. If that carjack fails for any reason, you are in serious trouble.

Yep that's a fair comment - like I said on the video not ideal but I trusted the equipment - should have used an axle stand for sure.
