Anyone who watches this video should remember wood can fail (split with the grain) if using to assist jack. @David Lis ...Thank you for a very detailed and great video on changing oil. To me, the explanation, camera work, and details on the process are perfect. Very helpful!

Thank you Yes the wood can split but even if it does split, it still will not cause a major safety problem.

@@davidlis6709 Yes really simple. Easier than on my previous car. I did it yesterday, it was just verrrrry tight(screws and filter) haha.

But you know all this stuff, there are many people that don't and are afraid to change their oil for the first time.

@@davidlis6709 Totally agree, all the talking was strictly necessary since this is a DIY video and it's supposed to cover from the basics all the tips, for me was perfect and I like to do mechanics too, I would like to know ithe torque for the oil plug and how much do I have to turn the oil filter, a hald or 3/4 of a turn to secure it. Last but not least check that the ruber oring from the old oil filter is not attached to the engine, and lubricate the new oil filter o -ring with the new oil in my opinion.

@@crashjose I don't know the torque value of the oil plug. I have been doing this for to many years and it is just in the feel. Tight enough so it will not come off but not to tight to make it hard for the next person taking it off. I hand tighten the oil filter as tight as I can get it because you hand con only tighten it so much, not like the oil filter wrench. If you put it on by hand, you most likely will have to use the oil filter wrench to take it off. With these types of oil filters, the oil ring stays on the oil filter.
