⚠ Attention! This video contains a mistake: 4:51 - the tightening torque is 70 Nm, not 180 Nm. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

This is an excellent video. However my MK7 Golf only has shock absorbers on the rear. No coil springs. Strange 🤔.

Yes, it's all depending on the design features of your car it may differ slightly.

According to the video links to all parts are in the description. I would like to know where to find the special tools needed as shown in the video!?
@autodocuk Жыл бұрын
You can select and find instruments at www.autodoc.co.uk/tools

@@autodocuk No I can't, I tried to find the tools on AUTODOC before I wrote a comment here in KZbin. Example: The video shows a socket tool that is used to expand the part, that holds the lower part of the shock absorber. Where do I find that tool on AUTODOC?

Hi! Thanks for your comment. in the video, we used copper grease to further facilitate dismantling during subsequent replacements, since it perfectly protects against corrosion and sticking of parts.

Torque specs are dangerously WRONG. Uppermount bolts should be 50Nm + 45 degrees (which stretches the bolts to higher clamping pressure than the omission of the extra tightening). The lower bolt is 70 Nm + 180 degrees (the erroneous misstatement as "180 Nm" would dangerously overtorque the bolt to possible failure if someone were to attempt).
@fr4437 Жыл бұрын
180nm is alot of force

update the torque specs this is dangerous for people who care about their lower shock bolt ! at least edit the video and reupload. 🙄
