It’s RTV sealant ( stand for Room Temperature Vulcanising) its a rubber based seal and is readily available at Halfords or motor factors or amazon. I have to do this job this week as my Glow Plugs need changing.

The previous response covered it. Sorry for not getting back to you earlier James. The RTV is recommended just so you can have a gasket in place to further prevent any leaks since it's aluminum to aluminum contact.

Unfortunately it was totalled in 2020 shortly after filming this. A lady going 70+mph rear ended me almost at a complete stop. I believe it was 136k miles when it happened. I replaced my Libby with a 3.0 TT I6 BMW X5 Xdrive35d and I'm very pleased with the upgrade.

Its junk mine has done 145xxxkm and 3 glow plugs have exploded and head gasket has failed same with radiator most junk car ever nothing is easy to get at either

Pretty easy if you just move stuff out of the way.
