really good question, unfortunately I can give you an official answer for every engine. I have heard of people on the forums using non Volvo oil which is a fraction of the price the maintenance schedule for Kad300 states "check Compressor oil after 200 hours or one year and to Change it after 1,200 hours or 5 years" however its so cheap I would suggest it doesn't do any harm to change more frequently

Good afternoon. I have a Kamd 300 installed on my Rodman 870. The fuse blew after an hour or so of running, in addition to being an excessively noisy compressor, the diode is fine and a priori the winding is also fine. I wanted to install a switch in the instrument panel to deactivate it. I don't know if there is a cable that goes directly there or if I have to install a relay and wire from the Compressor to the heater to be able to disconnect it. In case you can help me. Thank you.
