Had to follow since I’m a a new rider on an 858. Definitely would like to see more maintenance videos. Something about the track tension on a catalyst would be interesting. Thanks Glen!

Have you ever replaced a center bolt that broke?

Seems like it would be a pain to do on the mountain if it let go.

Would you rather change a chaincase on the mountain then?
@krisbalanecki626518 күн бұрын
@sanderheide6102 I like the belt drive, converted my sled to one, but if I blow a belt its a pretty quick fix. No need to take anything off other than the side panel.

How often should they be changed?

I like to start every season with a fresh belt and I check it every few rides to make sure it doesn't have any unusual wear. The service manual has more specifics and recommendations too. -Jeremiah

So cheaper and less catastrophic when it goes but not something you’ll be doing at 10k feet in waist deep snow (much like a chain).

What a poorly manufactured piece of shit. (Hard plastic handle belt tensioner). What a joke. Bring back sensible well made affordable, fun machines. Edison motors is a great example of what I hope to see happen with power sport vehicles in the future.
