for those whose tubine is stuck solid. 1. remove pump (2 screws). That will give you space. 2. Use 18 mm six sided socket (from toolstation). standard 18 mm 12 sided will slip. 3. get a breaker bar, or extended rachet. (spray some wd40 on flow turbine) you should be able to get off.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve got a Baxi Platinum and an 18mm socket fits well but the whole cartridge is seized in the manifold…..I’ve tried a lot of force but it’s not moving. Any tips? Thanks.

6 sided 18mm socket is the perfect tool for the flow turbine.

You are on about working smart not hard yet one twist and the condensate trap is out your way.makes removal 10 times easier.

Cheers mate, hope you're well. I started off selling boiler spares 16 years ago so had a good knowledge for inside boilers, learnt through reading manuals, taking boilers apart and re building, and just on the job really and now through social media. I've done no breakdown courses but heard good stuff about the manufacturer ones but couldn't say from personal experience
