How to Change The Pump Pulley on a Vintage Whirlpool Belt Drive Washer 285317 370403 LP115

The black pulley that's shown in the video is for a ribbed belt which was used on the little compact models. New pumps for a period of time were packaged with the ribbed pulley installed. The servicer swapped it for the v-pulley taken from the bad pump ... or maybe a new v-pulley was also included with the replacement pump, it has been enough years that I don't clearly recall.

Intriguing. I never thought of an idea that you can repurpose the old school Whirlpool BD TLW while replacing the belt at the same time. I don't know that the pully will fit to the motor two along with the transmission. I'll see that you can demonstrate how to replace it with the new belt, including a commercial grade from Maytag, and get it going again and bring washer back to life.
