Did you say White Lithium Grease? I'm curious because I'm getting ready to change my drum heads on my snare and I usually use Vaseline but i don't know whats better ahah Vaseline is old school.

When putting a new head on do you need to loosen the other head at all or does it not matter?

Should the bottom head be allowed to settle for a day or so like the batter side?

Typically the snare side head should be higher than the batter side head.

I personally didn't cut these snare guts - I just inherited the drums this way. People tend to cut them so that the snares have less of the "buzz" sound. Different people have different opinions on the topic and it all boils down to personal preference and taste.

Most hardware stores will carry it. Lowes, Home Depot, Ace, etc.

wait so for a marching snare you have to tune the top head, the snares on it , and the bottom head?? and also can you leaves the snares on the drum and tune it, without taking them completely off the drum??
