Leaks could be from pump, more likely not unless you are in northern states. Leaks could be from hoses or power steering rack itself.

It takes only 1 bottle of Amsoil ATF to have clean fluid. Cost is less than other brands because of the wholesale price. Stay away from from other brands.

I have GX460 and manual say it takes 1quart of ATF fluid so for example if i do 5 times i need 5 quart and Amsoil be like $60 and valvoline is $16 a gallon..but if i do only one time than Amsoil be great but i don’t think one time flush will clean it good..thats why i was thinking other way around and finish with Amsoil...

Great videos Sir! I'm not sure this was explained clearly. Do you take out only a few oz of fluid each drive and replace with fresh oil? or just keep taking out without adding? Because adding would mean contaminating good clean oil. Thank you for sharing all these great ideas. Remove few oz and add fresh fluid. Running engine is going to damage the pump and not all fluid is good come out. You still have fluid in rack.

If you have winning noise coming from power steering pump or when turn steering wheel then you have a problem. Small amount of bubbles is okay because you have return line that sending fluid back to the tank.

Your battery has nothing to do with it. Electric motor wears out and starts failing. Any error codes. I am not aware of parts available to repair, usually what I have seen the entire rack and pinion gets replaced.

Actually I did a quick search and there are electric motor available as replacement either used or brand new. Used can be purchased from $90-$300 depending on mileage and year. New $800-$1200, not including installing cost.

@@repairvehicle In your video, you are using OE Transmission fluid. I mistakenly thought the power steering fluid should have the Toyota WS rating also. Both of the fluids that the Amsoil site suggest, don't have that rating.

No need to clean if you are using compatible fluid

Repeat draining and filling until you no longer see anything. Turning the wheel side to side will help get the rest out while you replace it.

Hi, I uploaded a video on my channel to get help from the community on what's wrong with my 2008 LEXUS ES 350. The steering wheel,does a strange whining noise when I start it up in the morning or after I let it sit for more than an hour or so. Could you please check the video, it's only 25 seconds. Great VID, but also on another note, a lot of car makers are switching to - - Electric POWER STEERING, just in case you don't see the reservoir for example like my friend's a Hyundai Veloster it's electric powered....
