Hello. What did you use to clean the solenoids when the transmission sump pan was removed? Thanks.
@homeandgardenfixandtricks693811 ай бұрын
A clean microfiber cloth with clean transmission fluid. Just wipe it down properly to remove any clutch material

Good video bro, just to note trans fluid listed for ford can also be used as ford designed the transmissions for mazdas from bout early 2000s to 2012. Same trans in the ford fiesda. Mazda call it FN4A-EL and ford calls it 4F27E.

Mazda MV transmission fluid is the recommended oil.however you can use the amsoil multivehicle transmission fluid as it is a better quality fluid.

How did you pry out the pan man? I couldn’t take off mine. It really stuck with the gasket maker. I’m scared to try using a scraper to separate them? Afraid of destroying the contact surface. Any tips bro? Thanks for the video guide though 👍🏽

I use a flat tool like a paint scraper and slightly hammer it through the sealant

Great video. I have one question for you. You mentioned this was the 2nd time you were doing a drain and refill and that the first time you just drained and didn't take out the pan yet. How long did you wait between both drains? I want to do the same thing to do my car and I understand I should drain twice to get all of the 7 liters out. I just don't know how long I have to wait in between for the transmission fluid to cycle through. Thank you!
@homeandgardenfixandtricks693810 ай бұрын
I waited about 3 months. However, you can go for it in a week time or so. By then the fluid is mixed thoroughly

do u use rock auto for all your car parts for the demio?
@homeandgardenfixandtricks69385 ай бұрын
Not for all parts since I have the 1.3 little engine. Rock Auto only stock parts for the 1.5 little engine. Some are interchangeable while others are not. Especially brakes, engine a some other interior parts.

@homeandgardenfixandtricks6938 Жыл бұрын
Depends on the parts you need. I get mine on rocksuto.com but your car is not supported so I would love to know your engine type so I can check if they support your engine. You could st least get engine and transmission parts.

Hello, I am taking that your car is a manual transmission, correct? Please state if it's an automatic or manual. Either way, an overfill transmission is not a good thing. It can damage seals and other components of your transmission. So please address it as soon as possible. While you may get away slightly better with a manual transmission, please be very careful with these modern automatics.
@redbustourguide Жыл бұрын
No need to use a ratchet and socket whatsoever. This job requires a simple open end wrench to get the drain plug off. You still have dirty contaminated fluid mixed with the new you put in. Great job though. So this was the first time the pan was dropped and filter was changed? You'd have to change the fluid 4 times to have almost all the old out.

Yes the same procedure is applied however please research the correct type of transmission fluid for your car before doing this job. Measure the amount you remove and add back the same amount.
