Everything I've seen so far (except for this video) on this oil change mentions checking the fluid when it's between certain temperatures. It was omitted in this video. Is it not that important or what?

@@shanelester9000 removing the oil doesn't matter, except warm makes it come out quicker. As for refilling, you can't control temps of oil going in. Where it matters about oil temp is when you're checking the level of the fluid.

I have done this twice with the car on ramps and jack stands at 50k miles and 100k miles no issues what so ever with the car. So IMO you can do it both ways. Still find his videos informative.

You don't know a thing about a dsg trans fluid change. It doesn't matter how much you put in. It matters how much the car actually needs. Which video states how to know this. Quit with your little negative attitude. Leave my page if you don't like it.

Don’t you need to monitor fluid temperature with a scan tool and then set the level?
