The charge cycle was not complete when the charger was removed. The indicator lights should show a solid green light only ( only the green light will start to pulse once it switches to maintenance mode). Your battery is likely able to achieve better results had it been left to continue.

Yes I agree with you, But like I said on the video I will only charge it to 15hrs because Noco Genius 2 charging chart is 40Ah battery for 15hrs max. I think if I left it charging for 24hrs the battery will be 100% healthy. Thanks for the comment and watching the video!

@@edcardiy No where in the Noco provided instructions does it say 15hrs max. It simply gives the "normal" time to recharge a 40Ah battery from 50% DoD (depth of discharge) for reference. The instructions specifically state that "the charger can be left connected to the battery INDEFINITELY ."

Based on your initial test, with 12.15v, it just needed a charge. You should try it with an actual dead battery... one where the voltage is in the single digits. That'll tell you if it really can desulfate a dead battery and bring it back.

If the battery shows lower than 1volt. Simply use the Force Mode Press & Hold (5 Seconds) then operate under Force Mode for five (5) minutes before returning to standard charging in the selected mode. This will force charge the battery from as good as dead. The battery in this demonstration was only slightly low and by no means dead.

I think that the Noco Genius 5 is better than Genius 2 because of 5Amps instead of 2Amps, So it charges faster than the Noco Genius 2. Thanks for comment and watching the video!

I have a Genius5, I have been very happy with it. I had a parasitic drain on my battery just recently that depleted my battery pretty badly. The Repair Mode worked very well, but I found giving it an extra day on ‘Maintenance’ helped improve the battery further ( both internal resistances and CCA).

I've watched a video that, that "repair mode" feature doesn't work much better than the orginal method that tackles sulfation. Here is the link to that guy's channel, has like 7 videos on the subject alone for the Noco Genuis 5. That's part 2; part 1 is just him charging the battery from dead-full through its conventional method. Part 2+ actually he talks and explains in depth the "Repair Mode" kzbin.info/www/bejne/qaC7hJWVa72or80 Edit: As a result of this, I'm happy using my Noco Genius 1 as a trickle charger + desulfator, even in a small degree. It is something better than most smart trickle chargers offer.

Hi 91lifetime23, Repair mode on the Genius 5 & 10 gives the battery a jolt of maximum power for a short period of time to wake up the battery and then goes back to normal charging mode automatically. I don't think it's a good idea to charge the battery on repair mode, it could damage your battery. My question is can the battery hold a charge like a normal battery should after it is revived? I’m talking be able to stay in a car without starting for a week or so. Long as the battery is not thawed or whatever or course.

Sorry for the delay, Battery should be removed from the car (disconnect the positive cable from the car battery) to prevent electrical damaged, Then fully charged the battery before doing repair mode. Noco Genius 2 also have sulfation mode when charging your battery, It take about 30 hrs to fully charge your dead battery, It takes longer to charge compared to the NOCO Genius 5 because NOCO Genius 2 has less amps (only 2 amps). Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE and Thanks for watching!!!👍
