If you have a motorcycle and use an sae connector.....Here's the rip-off...You have to buy a separate adapter (part gc-009) for about $20USD. The adapter is proprietary on the "genius" maintainer/tenders. All of them. And as of now they are on backorder unless you want to pay a higher price from a price gougher that has some stock. This adapter should be included.

Thanks. great info. Although from what i am researching.......a 12V 8.5 AH motorcycle battery should be charged between .9A-4A maximum. This info was stated on the factory battery. I know going up to 5A charger (Genius 5) is not much higher but against my battery manufacturers' recomendation. As a comparison, the Battery Tender brand is a 3A charger. What are your thoughts?

Mustaqeem Minhas, I think it's OK (just my opinion) Because Genius 5 is only 1amp above maximum spec of battery, I think the Noco is smart enough to adjust automatically for the battery. I think the repairing batteries part doesn’t work to often. I have the Noco 10 and no luck in saving my battery. They are nice chargers all of them but I think the Noco 2 is a good all around maintainer.

Good review, I didn't know that a Noco Genius 2 charger does not have a repair desulfation mode. What is your opinion on Pulsetech power pulse passive desultators that use a patented frequency to prevent sulfation?

Thanks, You don't need Canadian Tire to install the NOCO 2, Just use the clamps and put it on the battery terminals, Red goes to positive and Black to negative of battery. Enjoyed your video Ed. You are reading your tape measure incorrectly. There are no decimals when you use inches. Your measurements should be stated as sixteenths of an inch. For example, you said the width was 2.9 inches. It should be stated as 2 and 9/16 inches.

Hi, The Genius 2 & 5 can automatically detects sulfation/acid stratification If any is found, the GENIUS 2 & 5 will automatically repair and reverse the damage done to the battery, extending the usable life and increasing the performance. But the Genius 5 has a dedicated repair mode for old battery that is already damaged, stratified and sulfated that can bring it back to life. (unless it's completely defective). I have a 70ah battery in my jeep that i daily drive. I want to top off charge overnight from time to time every few months. Would the 2 or the 5 be better for this? I want the slowest charge to protect the battery but want to be able to just top if off overnight when i do it, i believe it is usually around 85% full. I think i narrowed my choices to the genius 2 or 5. Which do you think would be better?

That's what I was kind of thinking. I wouldn't mind doing it several nights in a row to accomplish a full charge, but I thought that the minimal gain from the 2 over night may be lost the next day before it gets plugged back in, whereas the 5 could hopefully reach a full charge in one night and prevent that issue. Thanks for helping me decide, been researching the differences for the past week!

These are very specific to one size of battery and NOT versatile if you have a wide variety of batteries to charge eg. small 10AH battery to Larger 160AH batteries. Noco told me you have to buy multiple charger in that case which is ridiculous!!!

is this plug and play? i have an auto craft h7 agm battery. do i connect the terminals, plug it in the noco and put it in agm mode? what is charge mode? the battery is rated at 1000 cca but i tested it last night with a battery tester and it read 83 cca. the car isn't driven much.

650ah?? No way it is that much. Maybe 650CCA but not 650ah, it’s probably not more than 100Ah. I would do a genius 5 or 10. Usually you charge at around 0.1C so for a 100Ah battery at 0.1C that would be a 10A charger.

Pretty good comparison, I bought the Noco Genious 2 because I have an SLA and a LifePo4 battery as well and was looking to exceed the battery life cycle on both batteries, otherwise I would of went with the Genious 5, and since I have multiple batteries, what do you think of the Genious 2 that charges two banks at once ? Thanks for the comment, Genius 2 is a smart charger, I think it will get confused and not charge the batteries if it detects 2 batteries together. I think the best thing to do is to charge 1 battery at a time. Thanks for watching! 👍

Sorry about that, I thought you were talking about the Genius 2 and not the Genius 2 X2 with dual charging, The X2 have independent charging for each setting and clamps and will work for your application. Thanks!
