EVs are not nonsense, they are great city vehicles and would solve a lot of local in-city problems (think of Beijing for example). However, they tend to be terribly designed right now (uninspired exteriors, terrible crossover proportions, downright clinical interiors); plus, they don’t solve the real problem without major work on the power grid and production side (nuclear would be ideal but everybody is too scared to think properly).

@@initialyeet3951 the fire hazard the weight the would put undue stress on an already failing infrastructure for what? We need to develop alternative fuels that burn cleanly in existing vehicles. The list of horrors can go on but I feel like I’d be wasting my breath

I dont understand only EV but EV hybrids seem like the logical place for EV. Use the electricity most of the time and have gas for either when you run out of charge or want to drive a real car. Strictly EV only is going to become a massive problem over the next decade

EV stands for Emergency Vasectomy. Because most men would prefer one of those to an actual electric vehicle.
