Thanks Epic. Always happy to see these tutorials for new perspective :) You're a great instructor. Ever think of doing workshops?
@MoveWIthMendoza11 жыл бұрын
I would love to do workshops and I have workshops here locally, but not many people show up.
@GabrielFord11 жыл бұрын
Well then if you are ever interested in flow festivals then i believe there would be a place to hold space. Tricking and parkour have been steadily showing up in the list of classes the past couple years :)
@MoveWIthMendoza11 жыл бұрын
Flow festivals? Never heard of that but I would love to travel and teach! It's always been a dream of mine to make a living by traveling and teaching, but I know I'm not the only teach, nor am I the best, and since i'm smack dab in the middle of the US it's a bit challenging to compete with the famous faces on the coasts and bigger cities.

Any tips or mental cues going from a c720 to a c720 double? When I try to kick out on the first spin it goes crazy and I don't end up spinning twice, should I focus more on lifting my leg straight the first time rather than kicking?
@MoveWIthMendoza9 жыл бұрын
Faisal Salman YES, the first kick is more of a lift with a snap to straight leg, then the rest is the same, but get that lift on the takeoff and you'll feel the sweet spot.

So whenever I do a hook kick, something at the top of my left but below my waist (a muscle or joint I think) pops. It hurts sometimes, and I'm not sure what to do. Anyone else experiencing this?
@martinio2011 жыл бұрын
So a cheat 900 is the same as a cheat 720, but the cheat 900 has a roundhouse kick in the end and the 720 a hook kick, am I right?
@lilkcough11 жыл бұрын
You are correct, and that roundhouse kick will add the extra 180 spin.
@TehPandaMonium11 жыл бұрын
lilkcough technically, it doesnt. now dont get me wrong, martinio is 100% correct. but if anything, the cheat 9 has less rotation then a cheat 7 (due to the take off) people in cheat 7's start to leave the ground in a backwards neutral position (facing away from the target), wheras cheat 9's start to leave the ground when your facing the target. (watch micah karns do his cheat 9/cheat7 and you will see what i am talking about) but i digress... to understand the move better... A cheat 7 is a Cheat 540 hook, and cheat 9 is a cheat 540 round. this is ofcourse using TKT (true kick terminology). i personally find it easier to explain kicks using it, rather then standard
@lilkcough11 жыл бұрын
kyle jennings I've never seen anyone do more than 180 on the cheat takeoff, but I guess that just varies between people. If you do what you say, then you're completely right, but I generally think of a cheat 9 as a tornado, but with a full twist before the kick. And thanks for telling me what TKT stood for, I've been wondering that for a while.

May I suggest a combo tutorial? Grand Master Swipe - 540 kick - Frontflip/Arabian I just came up with that. Please make the tutorial!!!!!

I am having problem with my hip turns and spotting at the end. When i finish the turns, my hook looks more like a crescent and i am not spotting a target at the end. Any tips for this?
@TehPandaMonium11 жыл бұрын
that will ultimately become better with practice. but to fix the cresent... WHEN YOU BECOME MORE COMFORTABLE AND MORE AWARE, try keeping your knee up a split second longer before releasing the hook. POINT THE TOES AND RECHAMBER. thats all decently hard to do, but it will make your C7 icy

Question when I do its usually slow but if I go fast its sloppy and I fall ?
@MoveWIthMendoza10 жыл бұрын
Ahh the yin & yang presents itself again. There must be balance and control. Feel it, learn your posture, be confident, and challenges your reflexes and awareness.
@millermob410 жыл бұрын
Alright thanks! I will do that.
@millermob410 жыл бұрын
***** So now I can land it and I've got the timing but now the kick is low. my regular hook kicks are high though any tips?
@MoveWIthMendoza10 жыл бұрын
Work on controlling the speed and power so your timing matches your kick at your target just before you land, also both kicks should ideally be in the same spot.
@millermob410 жыл бұрын
Okay thanks I'll work on it.
@WhatThePartyNeeds11 жыл бұрын
I keep crescent kicking instead of hooking is that accepted in the trick?
@MoveWIthMendoza11 жыл бұрын
That depends on your open mindedness as a tricker. An open minded tricker might say that you should do what feels best, what you have the most control over. And if you decide you want to control the difference between hooking and crescent kicking, then you could train for it. It's all in the positioning of the hips along with timing of the body placement.
@sunjongyun56944 жыл бұрын
This is 6 years ago comment but nope crescent kick is terrible cause it’s weak and looks so bad.

How to spin fast in movement please bro video!:3
@MoveWIthMendoza11 жыл бұрын
Tutorial - Dubs (Double Fulls | Double Corks) See if that helps! =) But spinning faster, is like writing faster, you gotta start by mastering letters, then words, then sentences, then paragraphs, and eventually you're writing novels... build experience through training and practice, you will get it, but you must be mindful & aware. =)
