It definitely is a love hate relationship. At least mono red can be sorta considered classic magic at its core. Just playing creatures and trying to kill the opponent lol. So when your on the ladder and face a bunch of control/combo/complicated decks, sometimes in the back of your mind your wishing for a simple mono red opponent lol.

I don't know what era you consider classic but I played magic since the beginning 1993 and mono red was not like that at all. there were very few cards with haste, maybe ball lightning? And very few pump spells, I don't think red got any? there was basically giant growth and that was Green..

Unlike combo decks or control decks who pretty mutch hope you just concede out of boredom. Magic isn't supposed to be boring by any means. It is so sad tbh.

The last two videos its sounded like there are two mic's picking up your voice CGB, there's a bit of a reverb space on top of your raw vocals that sounds a bit weird, great video tho!

Getting an Atraxa out of Cruelclaw's Pull is the coolest thing I've seen in a while. Cruelclaw is a cool card, sucks that's it's so hard to get it going. My experience is they always have removal. And I remember I was a fan of trying to make Florian, Voldaren Scion to work. Such a pipe dream...

I truly dont know how you do it man, fighting such a stale and repetitive meta everyday. I would have smashed my keyboard and monitor by now. @@iNstantQuebecause despite new rotation, the Meta has not adjusted much from where it was pre rotation. If anything it’s only raises the meta pick rate of red Ag due to the new mice.

@iNstantQue I know you would think the meta has changed a lot. I was so excited to see wondering Emperor Leave. But this guy above me was right. I am not lying at all when I say I fight the exact same 5 decks every match. Black land drops? It's a discard deck. Red land drops? It's either mice/mono red aggro, convoke, or mice with a splash of green. Green land drops? It's golgari midrange or squirrels. I think you get the point, lol. It's sad... I hate people.

I'm always a fan of these kinds of decks. Technically, a high curve, but lots of modality! I'll be tinkering with a version of this after work tonight. Crokeyz has a similar Mardu deck that's fun as hell, so I'm sure this will be fun as well!

Speaking of cheating, I've been experimenting with Builder's Talent into Portal to Phyrexia. You are more seasoned in the realm of blue-white tech, so I feel you could bring this idea to greater heights than my weird wildcard-lacking pile. It looks like Dusk Legion Duelist can be useful here. I like Thran Spider - powerstones can pay for class level ups. Three Steps Ahead is great, and it can duplicate Portal if I wanna go crazy with it. I'm using Lay Down Arms because I don't have a great mana base and it's a pretend Cut Down. Not sure what to do about bunnies, I don't think I can get away with Lockdown when I rely on a 2 mana class.

@@NemestkV Play less, the game isn't worth the frustration trust me. Their are checks and balances programmed in to make sure the decks you run fight similar decks or decks that play well against what your playing. Takes a lot of the fun out especially from a casual perspective.
