Does it have a dip stick as well? or do you just have to trust the dash

Dashboard only as far as I am aware, it is very accurate, system is used on a lot of Mercedes vehicles. I once had a warning message to top up 1 litre of oil on a previous C Class, it was spot on. Thanks and cheers Chris 😎 🎵 🎵 🍻🍻🍻

@@Cars-Guitars-Music That's pretty good, I have a oil pressure and a oil low level light on the tarago, but the oil level has to be down about 2.5 litre before it comes on.

@@Cars-Guitars-Music - The problem with this system though, is that you can't inspect the oil colour, due to their being no dipstick. I suppose you could look at the oil cap but that's too high in the system, so wouldn't be too helpful.

@@droge192 Thanks so much for your comment, you are spot on as no dipstick, although as far as I'm aware the oil sensor checks a) oil temperature b) oil level c) oil quality (presence of contaminants) Cheers 😎
