I think you should do a battery video for 3rd party batteries. It seems the canon cameras know they are not genuine Canon batteries.

i'm not sure whether or not you use a battery grip. Each grip holds (2) batteries. I know when using a 3rd party battery the camera Body will register only one at a time. It will also ask the question something like "Are these Canon batteries" or "Are these 3rd Party batteries YES or NO. When using one EOM with a 3rd party again it will display one on one side or the other. You can then pull out the battery tray and swap sides and the camera body will recognize and display accordingly. When filling the battery tray, I tend to go with both being OEM or both being 3rd party. When the one battery being display runs out I will always swap sides in the tray and move on. I hope this helps!

I do use a battery grip and tent to only put in both Canon or 3rd party, I don't mix and match the batteries.

You can totally fry your camera if you use 3 rd party batteries...this is not recommended at ALL! Very bad advice!
