Yes! The B2 is a great hybrid glove. We would also recommend taking a look at the A2000 G4 (11.5) if you’re looking for something with a more open pocket; if not, the BW38 and 1796 are great hybrid options as well.

We recommend trying out the A2000 OTIF, a great glove for third base and pitching. It features a versatile Six Finger Trap Style Web that is great for infield but also does not reveal your grip to the hitter when you're on the mound.

@baseball4life337 Those colors are special to Brandon and Elvis and we’re proud to have them wearing those gloves, glad you like them too! While the colors are exclusive, their gloves are the same models available in stores everywhere. But if you’re looking for special editions, stay tuned - we’ve got exciting announcements in the works.

We're glad you loved the DP15. If you loved it, maybe it's time for another DP15! You also might like the A2000 OTIF, as it works well as a third base and pitcher's glove. We also have our 2014 glove line releasing in August if you're looking for the latest models.

@Lance Bailey We recommend the A2K DW5. The A2K DW5 is David Wright’s game model glove and offers a little more length at 12" for extended range which is perfect for someone who is looking for a bigger size. We also recommend checking it out in SuperSkin if you are looking for something a little lighter weight as well - the A2000 DW5 SS or a custom A2K DW5 with SuperSkin are options. You can find it on our site here: www.wilson.com/en-us/baseball/gloves/infield/a2k/dw5-gm-baseball-glove/.

It’s great for playing anywhere in the infield, including pitcher. The length is good, with a nice pocket that will help you conceal the grip of your pitches while you're on the mound.

Hi Drew, if you have time to wait, there is a new glove coming out in August that would be a great option. It is perfect for players with smaller hands and designed for an outfielder. If you need a glove sooner than that, we suggest checking out the A2000 DW5 SS. It is 12”, so you’ll get some good range in the outfield but also a deep enough pocket.

Hi Jake, we have a new series of gloves coming out next month that we think would be great fit for you. If you're looking for something sooner, we recommend the A2000 DP15. It is 11 ½ and has a smaller wrist opening and narrower finger stalls that are ideal for a smaller hand.

Hi Taylor, typically third basemen use a glove that is 11.75-12”. Two of our best models are: Evan Longoria’s Game Model, the 11.75” A2000 EL3 and David Wright’s Game Model, the 12” A2K DW5.

Dustin Pedroia’s A2000 DP15 GM is a great glove for a middle infielder as long as it’s the right fit for your hand. Modified to Dustin’s specifications, the glove is built for infielders with smaller hands who want extra feel. A very similar model without the fit modifications is the Wilson A2000 1786, which is the same size (11.5”) and has the same web as the DP15 (H-Web).
@wilsonballgloves
@wilsonballgloves 12 жыл бұрын
We recommend looking at the A2000 1786 (11.5”) or 1788 (11.25”). The 1786 is our most popular infield glove and is used by players who want a little more pocket in the middle infield. The 1788 is used primarily by second basemen and will have a shallow pocket to help with transfers. Get to the store and check them out in person to see which feels best!

We recommend the 1786 (11.5”), EL3 (11.75”), or G5 (11.75”). The 1786 is our most popular infield model and features an H-Web and a shallower pocket to allow for quick transfers in the infield. The 1786 is favored by players like Brandon Phillips and Elvis Andrus. The EL3 is Evan Longoria’s Game Model and features an open cross-web along with a traditional Saddle Tan coloring. The G5 is new for 2013 and has a reinforced H-Web for additional pocket support.

The CJ Wilson Game Model will work well as a pitcher/outfield glove. It’s on the short side of the recommended glove length for an outfielder, but it would definitely work. Also check out the A2000 KP92 because it’s a little longer.

I bought a Wilson at Wal-Mart the other day for around $40. It's a softball glove but considering we only play catch and the occasional home run derby in my backyard I don't need a $200 glove. It's was the only one that I have been able to find that halfway fits my big hands so I had to get it. Pretty nice glove for the money, I'm ready to get it broke in so I can actually catch decent.

Hi Felix, the 11.5” A2000 OTIF or 12” A2K CJW are both versatile gloves that are great options for you. The OTIF has a 6 finger trap web while the CJW has a Pro Laced T-web.
@wilsonballgloves

Both are great options. SuperSkin is nice because it lightens up the glove and doesn’t break down; this is great at keep your hands fast for quick ball transfers. Some players prefer to feel the glove on their hand a little more and like having the all leather glove. The A2000 1786 has our new Gunmetal Grey leather which we think looks pretty awesome, but the other gloves are all a little more traditional with combinations of saddle tan and black or saddle tan and dark brown.

We recommend the A2000 EL3 (11.75”) or the DW5 (12”) for 3B. The EL3 is used by Evan Longoria in the hot corner and features an open cross-web refined by Longoria himself. The DW5 is a little larger and has a dual-post web for added pocket support. Other good 3B options include the 1787 and the all-new G5. We recommend getting to the store and seeing which one feels best!

Hello, some gloves are built for third base like the A2000 EL3 and A2K DW5, while others work well at the hot corner and the middle infield like the A2000 1787 or G4. It really all comes down to what you feel comfortable using. In general, look for a glove that is 11.5”-12” for third base and 11.25”-11.75” for middle infield.
@wilsonballgloves
@wilsonballgloves 13 жыл бұрын
@badgerhockey99 The EL3 has a smaller hand opening and closes as if you were to bring your thumb and index fingers together. The 1787 closes to form a wider pocket by closing with thumb and ring finger.

Hi Travis, we recommend trying on our A2000 and A2K first baseman mitts to see which one feels best. The biggest decision is if you want a single break or double break. Aso explains what that means in our video titled “Breaking in a First Baseman Baseball Mitt” on our KZbin Page.

We do not have plans to make custom A2Ks at this time. A2Ks use the top 5% of our ProStock leather, and because the amount of leather is limited, there would not be enough to offer enough custom colors in it. However, we do have new colors for A2Ks in our 2014 glove line that just came out this month!

That's an A2000 1786. It's a good glove for shortstop and can also be used for third. You might check out the A2000 1787 or A2000 G5 models if you play third base primarily. We recommend trying them on in the store to see which one feels best.

There are a few different gloves we would recommend. One is the A2000 SC-DW5 (11.5”). This David Wright Showcase Edition is made with a smaller hand opening and finger stalls for a player with smaller hands. If you’d like to get a non-Showcase A2000, the 1787 (11.75”) or EL3GM (11.75”) are great options for you to use at either position. Try them out at a local store and choose the one that feels the best on your hand.

@FMHR2 To begin, all Wilson models have dual welting. It gives stability to the fingers and the pocket so that you can break in your glove without it breaking down - and getting floppy. If you’re playing 3rd and Outfield, you may want to try an A2000 EL3 or A2K DW5 because they run on the larger side of our infield gloves. Many of our pro athletes prefer our A2K line to our A2000 line and vice versa, for different reasons. Try them both and let us know what you think.
@wilsonballgloves
@wilsonballgloves 12 жыл бұрын
Both the A2000 EL3-SS and the A2000 DW5-SS would be our recommendations for you. The EL3-SS is an 11.75” cross-webbed mitt with a D-Shaped pocket while the DW5-SS is a little larger at 12” with a Dual Post Web. Choose one based on what size you want and visual preference (the EL3-SS is all black while the DW5-SS has Saddle Tan accents). Don’t forget to try them on in store to see which feels best!

Depending how large your hand is and which position you play most, the KP92 (12.25”) might be a good crossover glove to look at - Luke Hochevar uses this on the mound. Another model to look at if you pitch more is the A2000 1796 (11.75”) which has a Pro Laced T Web. Outfield and Pitcher’s gloves have very different functions (catching fly balls vs. hiding grip), so we recommend picking a glove that you feel most comfortable with, above all else. Also -we have a game model coming out that is 12"

@TheWOVGLIMITLESS You’re young, but if you’re going to continue playing third then it would be good to get used to a 12-inch glove, which works better for the position. We would recommend the A2K-0 DW5-WC or A2000 DW5 SS, both designed with help from Mets 3B David Wright!

Our Catcher’s mitts come in 32.5”, 33.5”, and 34. If you want a bigger glove, you’ll have a bigger pocket but it will be heavier. You’ll have more control over the smaller glove but the catch-area will also be smaller. The best way to decide would be to try them on in-store to see what feels best; SuperSkin is a good option if you want the glove to be a little lighter because it is half the weight of leather and two times as strong.

Many outfield models are a little bit longer than this, but for your size, we suggest not going too big so that you’re able to control the glove. If you need to make the wrist opening tighter, a local glove shop should be able to help with that. This will make for a tighter fit on your hand.

@Chance Brown All three gloves are great choices and can be used at SS. The A2000 EL3 INFIELD GLOVE - 11.75" was developed by Master Craftsman Aso-San for third baseman Evan Longoria. The D-shaped deep pocket in this Game Model Glove is perfect for the hot corner. The A2000 G5 SS - 11.75" and the A2000 1787 INFIELD GLOVE - 11.75" have shallower pockets that are preferred by shortstops for a quicker exchange. The A2000 1787 INFIELD GLOVE - 11.75" is a popular middle infield & third base model, this glove is perfect for dual position players. It features a shallow pocket that allows for a longer range and is often broken in with a flattened, flared shape. Developed with an H-Web, this glove gives every player game changing performance. The A2000 G5 SS - 11.75" was made by Wilson Glove Master Craftsman Shigeaki Aso for third basemen and shortstops. They asked for a glove like the A2000 G4 that they could use, so he took the A2000 G4 pattern and increased the length to 11.75". Now you've got the extra reach you need with a reinforced H-Web to maintain as shallow of a pocket as possible. We recommend you try all three gloves and see which one feels the best as well.

I am mainly an outfielder but do occasionally play 2nd base.I am looking for a new glove.I currently use an 11.5 Nike that I really like but i want to try a Wilson because lots of pros use them. I like a smaller glove be cause i have small hands but the 11.5 is to small for centerfield.What do you recommend?
