Another good thing to think about is if you're not sure what you like doing, or what you're good at, think about what you hate doing. For example, I really dislike indoors job, I just can't sit in front of a desk or be indoors all day, I'm an outdoorsman. It really helped me. And remember, if you haven't tried, you haven't lived.. Not sure if you like it, try it!

I can understand that. I don't mind working indoors, so long as I have the ability to get up and go outside every now and then, or at least walk around. I can't sit still really for too long because of my tiny ass bladder that hurts if i dont urinate sorry of TMI. But, at the very least, have a window I can look out while sipping a cup of tea during the middle of the day. Do companies like this exist?

My tips on choosing a career: Step1. Find at what area your good and enjoy, have interest in at. Ex: math, physics, humanities (history, philosophy etc), biology etc. Step2. Find one area that your interested outside of school (ex, technology, building stuff, how human body works, etc) Step3. List jobs that combine those two. If you cant find one that combine both, find one that completes at least one of the previous steps. Step4: List ALL pros and cons of the careers you chose, know the workplace, types of work, routine of these careers. Quit the ones you think arent that interesting as you thought or simply seem boring to you. Then find your profession. Some observations: 1. DO NOT romanticize any jobs. Every job has its boring part, its fun part, no job is perfect and there will be always pros and cons. Dont listen to ppl pretending the job is perfect. Be ready to list and research all of them and discover which one is more you. 2. Dont get desperate if you dont find your exact passion. By following those steps youre at least getting to a career you have a certain degree of interest in. Remember you can always try new things, your life doesnt depend on this decision. 3. DO NOT THINK ABOUT MONEY ON THE FIRST PLACE, THINK ABOUT IT ONLY ON STEP 3. And DO NOT THINK ABOUT STATUS OR "SOCIAL RESPECT", remeber a major doesnt define you and YOU are the one who shape how ppl view you, not a college decision. Hope i helped.

I would start a company to teach kids to find joy in reading by getting better at it, learning to write well. I think a lot of people find reading and writing a pain and not enjoyable because they've only seen the side of "required reading." I want to teach kids that while we will have to read or write things we don't enjoy, there is another side that can spark creativity and fun. therefore making them better writers, build vocabulary and be better communicators.

I think, reading books without pictures, and before seeing movies and cartoons/tv shows are so integral to a persons development. Why do I say this? Because without the distractions of visual stimulation, all the child is left with is their imagination to fill in the visuals. The words, dialogue, descriptions of scenery and characters and their interactions can all be subjective to the individual reader. But, there is the concept that imagination is not actually real, and humans need context to bring about new ideas. Those contexts come from their environment. At the same time, when I was given the book Cinderella as a child, it was with illustrations, without that visual added, I would have not known she was of blonde hair, hourglass figure, and a smirk to go with her dealings with her sisters.

Very noble cause. Go for it. But, one question on my mind is, what role would you play in this business? I don't mean to squash your dream and it is a great one! But, I worry that, like me, I always think about the big picture and have a hard time building the steps necessary to get to my lofty goals. So, I ask you, how will you contribute? As an investor? A manager of operations? Working in engineering, technology, or science? What major are you pursuing, if you are pursuing? I have only an AS in Business Administration and chose it because it was the least direct, and was pretty broad in the courses. But, over the last several years, I have been seeing how business is a place I have to be part of in order to do anything philanthropic or humanitarian in nature. My passion lies in solving problems for people, the world, society, and even animals and our ecosystems, but it's tough narrowing it down to one. I also don't know how I would contribute as far as my career and job duties are concerned.

I would open a local gym whose members are more like a family rather than strangers. There would be opportunities for the members to give back to the community in significant ways such as community service on certain weekends. Or volunteer positions such as Personal Trainers and Coaches who want to help someone who can't afford a trainer, get into shape. A portion of the membership fee's would go towards local schools for kids who want to participate in sports but can't afford the gear and other fund raising activities. There would also be mentor positions open for young adults, and even adults, to help them find their purpose, give direction, and motivational support. Basically, a community of people dedicated to fitness and the betterment of their immediate environment in all aspects. Mentally + Physically. Thanks for the videos Brian, I've been an avid listener for many years and still finding my ultimate purpose in life.

Inspired by you, Brian, I am working on a software startup that will help people align their goals and strategies in life - think about a lovechild of a project management app and a social network - users will be able to define their goals and then join 'strategies' (like facebook groups) - within strategies a personalized recommender algorithm will suggest resources and 'best next steps' that have already helped more successful users to other, less advanced members. If all goes well, it should behave like a personal coach - without human intelligence but the experience data of potentially millions of people in the background. Just working out the maths and the cognitive triggers right now... ;)

I only love to play basketball and doing sport and can do it for hours and hours a day. But now I have to make a choice about being a mechanical engineer( which is a little interesting to me but I don't know what will I exactly do if I choose this way) and to try for being a basketball player which is my dream but also is very risky. What should I do? PLEASE give me an opinion

I had a dream to be an interpreter about 6 years ago and I really studied hard for it . But all of my family members discouraged me and stopped me from choosing the language as my major after my CET . I was not brave enough to refuse them so I followed their arrangement . after that I found myself down and almost dead and have been regretful for so many years . even my teachers said I have the talent for language but one wrong step , whole life regret . now I'm not so crazy about languages as before and lost interest in life . I just graduated from university last year . Sometimes my friends comfort me and they tell me I'm still young so no need to worry . But I'm really in a dilemma . I really don't know what I really suitable to do . I hope someone can save me about my career . now every day I am not happy at all . Please I really need your help .

Hi, You are lucky to have identified early what you like and the fact that you regret not pursuing it only proves it. I speak 5 languages now and I assure you if you are really enjoying languages it will come back to you one way or another. You said you finished college, if you have a job now related to your diploma can you see a way to combine it with the language you invested time in earlier? Any language you can learn alone, through online courses, evening courses, reading and listening to things you enjoy in this language. I feel that you wish you did not stop that and although it sounds like a cliché to say " you are never too old to learn something or change your profession - it is very true. I studied for 6 years to become an engineer, which was not something for me, I got the diploma and then felt in prison in my CV for many years and not feeling good. The languages I learned and I'm working on now I never planned for it kind of happened in parallel, until one day I realized I'm given chances for jobs because of the languages. Not only because the job required them but sometimes also because the employer thinks "if she is smart enough to learn this, she will be smart enough to learn what is needed in a job she has never done before". So it might take some sacrifice of time spent with your friends, family or entertainment for some time, but it will be worth it! I hope this helps, good luck!

Visualize meeting your 25-year-old self, your 35-year-old self... move on the visualizing the most inspired version of yourself at 45 years old. Really feel into it. Ask each of these men for guidance. Also, aim to find mentors and a group of people who can support you, a tribe, to see your vision through. You are bound to be successful.

Sir Talent your failures will fuel your sister trust me when I tell you that. I've had a business that failed and had many disappointments but now I know pretty much what my niche is and I'm in my early forties and I'm starting over. So you'll be encouraged and go for it. age is not a big issue many people have to have to start over in their late twenties thirties forties fifties even in their sixties. We have to just learn from our past so that our future can be prosperous.
