Agreed. There is no such thing as the perfect job / career. But you can mold your career path and streamline what you want after say 5-6 years of experience. Get as many college courses under your belt and again as much knowledge . Best thing I did was after my training was become a Freelancer. If you can do contract / freelance work it opens doors 10 times more that staying in a same old permanent job.

This is an eye opener for me. When he started saying that "if you're young, you might have not tried many things yet". Deep down, I felt that. I grew up, being scared of trying things because whenever I failed, I was laughed at. I found a hobby I loved deep down when I was 15, after facing my fear of trying something new. Though I'm behind of everyone (currently 17, the hobby is singing), I realized I enjoyed it. Now, this video inspired me to find something i might be passionate about... P.S., I felt that Asian philosophy cause i'm asian 😂

Do your part while young and then older care for others that's one thing i learned growing up. All these fun are fun but they can get kinda of boring when you keep doing it like say you want to travel i travel a lot and i was like i want to travel more as a kid but after doing it for so long it just gets boring specially if your doing it your self but having friends and family go with you is very different cause at the end of the day its all about having bad and good memories for your self.

Such an important perspective. Make profit first to free up time to pursue passion. I didn’t really understand why my immigrant parents worked so hard in careers they were not “passionate” about. I switched my major from Biology to Comp Sci 2 years ago and it was the greatest decision I’ve ever made. A recommendation I would give you is to list out the possible careers and directions you could go (essentially you can always break into field but just for sakes) from each major of interest, and if you feel like you’re chasing only one or two types of jobs/areas that major offers then eliminate it. I’ve found that your more likely to give up on a career/interest if you have to go through an entire field just in hopes that one specific sub field is the one. What happened for me is when I changed my major I was interested in almost every single aspect of the field or at least appreciative of what I’d learn from that aspect. I discovered more motivation than I ever had and took additional classes every summer semester, increased my gpa, and completed many personal projects, while also studying more material on my own. With Biology I seemed to only care about med school and couldn’t see myself in hardly any Biology career (other than Bioinfomatics) whether it be research, any other post grad schools, or environmental jobs. So I changed majors and kept pre med, but eventually I dropped that as well because of complete interest in my computer/data science courses Good luck :)

Thanks dan, i started following you 8 monthd ago when i was in my lowest time of life and i saw the video how not to be broke, thay video changed me and i watch your video daily randomly consistently, because i learn alot of things and all my problems seems so small and easy to handle after your coaching and motivational video. Thank you very much, i will buy your class one day when i am capable, but really, all of your words are just so surreal and in detail. Thank you man. I do wish to meet you one day. Take good care of yourself.

God bless you!! Thank you for confirming the information I’ve fumbled back and forth with. It’s so hard being 16 and being told to choose your career. Do you do it makes you happy or what’s going to give you financial freedom. Especially being so impressionable it’s hard to know what to do. I appreciate your channel for inspiring young people like me and pushing us to keep it real with ourselves and our situation!

A few years back, I was working to some business companies and then working with the clients. Yet, I felt frustrated and decided to stop building other’s dreams. So, I decided to start my own business as an affiliate marketer. I may not be that successful at the beginning because of lack of implementation and wrong niche but I never give up! I made some research, going to some training and courses to learn new skills and strategies. Through that, I achieved what my goals are to become a successful in my career for this is my passion to make money, generate more commissions and then helping those who want to build their own dream business. Thank you for sharing this inspiring video, Dan!

You have done the right thing. Never do something you don’t like just because it may seem like a waste of time otherwise or you’ll be too old to change etc. The number one thing is to do what you love and then you’ll make money as you’ll be passionate about it.

I'm 24 now. After I graduated High School I decided to work to help my parents and I realized after working for almost 6 months that I have to study for my future for me to find a stable job not just for me but also my parents and my sibling . I decided to study at least associate degree to work in a call center then after 2 yrs of studying Associate in Computer Technology (ACT) I leave my hometown to find a call center company to apply and get hired. I applied several times and sadly I was rejected then after several application I met this Guy ,we applied in the same company and he told me a story of him He's a tenured agent his been in several companies for almost 10 years I told him about my situation that I always rejected. He told me that he was been in my situation before. But in his 10th applied in a call center company hi was hired then that guy motivated me. Surprisingly on the 10th company I applied for I get hired. After almost 1 months of working as a call center agent I decided to resigned the reason is a became animic , working at night is very hard for me. Then for me to earn money I decided to find any job for me to pay my bill and for my daily needs, I became a delivery rider I work for almost 4 months as a delivery rider. That time I realized what carrer path should I choose. at the age of 22 I really want to get an stable job and also a career growth for me to earn more money. After 4 months I applied again in a call center company but again sadly I didn't make it I was rejected after training. I realized that call center wasn't for me. Then I get back to my hometown I felt I'm a loser that I didn't got a job and earn money. Same year my friend photographer told me that they got a photography studio , he Encourage me to go back in photography then I decided to be a photographer again ( I didn't mention that I became a photographer when I was in college a a parttime) but after working as a photographer I can't save money because of the salary. The photography in my hometown wasn't in demand. I resigned again then after a month I had a motorcycle accident and luckily I didn't die. I suffered a depression for several months of having that accident and no job no saving. I thought that time that I'm one of the Unlucky person in terms of career. After 1 year of getting my self in a mood to work again.I applied in 2 company 1st as a Field Collection officer and 2nd as a Promodiser as of now I'm confused what to choose. Then After watching this video I realized that any of those job I mentioned is right. Choosing a career path is hard but you'll know it by experience. So choose any legal job for you to earn and pay your bills. We don't know what the Destiny plans for as all we have to do is be prepared an take all chances and be patient. #Patience #Respect

Thank you for sharing your experience and advice. I think that it is a great idea to have a balance between passion and profit. I was often told that you have to choose between the two. I always thought what is the point of pursuing the most money I can get if I am miserable and bad at the the studies and the job. On the other hand, I would think that it would be pointless to chase after my passions because my passions constantly change and fluctuate and I would be worried about making ends meet. You give a practical approach that emphasizes prioritizing in a way that makes sense.
