The Floris shop in Jermyn Street really is a gem because it has not been over-modernised. So many shops have been ruined by revamps, the worst example probably being Asprey's which was an act of vandalism.

The cost for a fully bespoke fragrance from Floris was a lot more affordable than expected. Especially it's a multi-month process, and you get 6 bottles at the end of it that can be ordered at any time. If you are really into fragrances and have 5,000 pounds to spend, this is a great purchase.

Elite is my favorite of many that I have. Released in 1980, it's like tha smooth Creed Bois du Portugal with a little bit of understated Ralph Lauren Polo Green thrown in.

Fragrances are pretty much not allowed at 90% of the places I go. So I never had an interest in learning about it. But this guest was definitely so underrated! Please get an in-person interview when it's safe. I found it to be particularly invigorating! I'm really curious to see the "bespoke fragrances" being made.

90% of the "places you go"? If someone denied me entry into a place because I was wearing a fragrance, I would gladly avoid them like the plague for the rest of my life. I heard an English perfumer once say that there was a U.K. based EU bureaucrat who advocated the complete banning of the perfumery industry. That bureaucrat should be barred from not only public service, but from anything, anywhere having to do with the wielding of any influence over any other human being.

@@MauricXe that's honestly the best way to explore their collection. I feel that I should add that the Ouds are very strong. I typically use one spritz on the wrist and dab that on the neck/ cheek and opposite wrist. That could just be me, though. I tend to be very sensitive to certain fragrances.

My go to fragrance is Aventus by Creed or their Viking fragrance which is a beautiful scent with a warm cinnamon base. I hope to take a trip to Floris and if I’m lucky enough, to create a bespoke fragrance
