How do you choose your Shakespeare monologues?

Thank you, I’m looking at monologues for my audition for the second semester already. We are doing much ado and I really want to be in it. So I’m trying to work on it ahead so when time comes I’ll be super confident on what I’m doing. I actually never did Shakespeare before but thank you for this video 🙏.

That was helpful. Choosing a piece that excites u is the best thing u said. Fishing rod...interesting for addressing pace. Have to give it a go. But right now i am still looking for a new piece. More videos on Shakespeare please.
