This was a great video, so thank you! I’m a tight knitter, so I love bonus tip #2. I have a gorgeous set of interchangeables from a company that you didn’t mention, but I HATED the cables. A few months ago, I found out that they now sell a swivel cord, and it is a game changer!! The cables don’t kink at all, and they make my knitting so much more enjoyable.

This is so helpful! I got into knitting a bit over half a year ago and I have a few sets of circular needles with 80cm chords, so I had to stitch up a few places of my two sweaters that I would be able to work in the round with a set like this. So finally I decided to get interchangable needles, after some reaserch I had my eye on a pretty set from knitpro: good needle sizes, nice visuals, but the cords were 40, 60, 80 and 100cm. I thought it was the length of the cord alone, so I was unsure if I should actually get this set or not. Now I know that the 40cm is actually a 20cm cord with the length of the needles already accounted for! Thank you so much, now I can order my beloved set with no fear.

Never would have thought of tip #2 😅 great video, I have built up a set of Knit Pro zings buying individually as needed from yourselves (with a cute handmade holder from Etsy) and am happy magic looping away with them😊 curious to try the fixed short circs in future!

Great video. I use and love very reasonably priced interchangeable needles by knit picks. Hoping to get a shorter set for Christmas. Do you ever use 2 circulars for small circumference? Happy Christmas!

I am a "magic looper" so I usually go with that method. But Many customers have mentioned using this method. It sounds like a nice alternative.

Thank you , always enjoying these I might be a tight knitter, :) love the idea of a swivel cable but the snagging of the transition vs regular ones really slows me down on every brand so far , using my thumb nail to try to jump enough loops to fill the needle by squishing them up tight so they feed nicely onto the tip . Using different size tips and not having to duplicate cable lengths for each size has always been the big advantage over fixed circulars . Great advice about buying a size that does not come with the set, will have to get it eventually , 7mm is one of those sizes 6.5 -- 8mm is a big jump

not really, but within brands it is usually possible.

maybe start by getting one pair of needles in metal and one in wood to see what feels better for you.

I prefer Addi interchangeable or Hiyahiya sharps. Just never liked the Chiagoo.
