I find 3” shot shells are etiquette enough for pretty much everything i hunt. Small ducks such as teal i shoots #5-6. Large ducks i shoot #4. Goose i shoot BB

I assume the shot sizes you're speaking about are steel? I recently picked up a case of #4 bismuth with the hopes that the extra density will hit as hard as steel #3s while gaining extra pellets. Hope it works!

break a wing or go for the head, i have got one last year that fly over my blind with #2 kent in 3in, but had my pellets bounce off a goose at 20 yards this year with #3 in 3in winchester super x. everyone heard it and we looked at each other. we found him a quatermile on the way out with a broken leg a swatted him. but i did get one from the air with the 3s, im going with 2s and BB from now on

I use 3.5 BB to shoot.It lets me shoot at ducks over 100yds.Dont forget its common courtesy to pull up to the spot at daylight.The flashing spotlight means to get closer.Make sure you sit up at least 25yds from someone and highball every kind of bird you see on your 100 dollar call and shoot at every swinging bird.Those are the top fundamentals of killing ducks!
