If he wanted to get more technical he can talk about pattern density
@troypowders43125 жыл бұрын
Hevi steel 3.5 #3 you can’t beat it except for hevi metal 3.5 #3. Hevi steel is $10 cheaper. Hevi shot keeps the best pattern density. Don’t even both ever using hevi X. That stuff is garbage. Way to expensive slows down way to fast

So for the length if I have the 3 inch I can shoot the shooter length but not bigger length? And if I have 2 3/4 inch I can only shoot that length?
@Austin554_2 жыл бұрын
Late reply but, basically. If the shotgun is designed at 3’’, you can shoot 2 3/4 or 3 inch but nothing over. Basically you can shoot anything under but nothing over, granted it’s the correct gauge. Stay safe, hope this helped even after a long time (doubt it did)

Yes, there are 12 gauge shotguns with just a 2-3/4" chamber. My dad has a Remington 1100 that has a 2-3/4" chamber. You might be able to find a 3" magnum, but most are 2-3/4".

T maR were you using high base or low base brass? I have had issues with low base on pumps...not sure what brand of shell or shotgun. My Winchester SXP3 pump seems to cycle them fine. I guess it depends on the shotguns preference. Maybe just depends on what it was "broke in" with?
