I am considering A levels of: Business Accounting Core Maths (not an A level) because they have real life maths and as I love maths and also really good at it, they sound enjoying. I am also considering A level English Language because one of my careers involves article journalism. Are they cumbersome? How challenging and time comsuming are they?

I want to do Zoology or animal related subject at uni (still not completely sure). But I am also interested in Music. This is an other uni option I have considered. So I am thinking of doing Biology, Maths, Chemistry and Music. However, Music is totally different to the other subjects! If I chose it, I feel like it won't help me in the future unless I want a musical career. Also, idk if I would enjoy it as I've heard that it is different to the gcse music.

Symphonia doll I think you should. I am in the same boat but i am going to choose Chemistry,maths,biology and fine art. Fine art doesn't fit in but I really enjoy it and I am determined to be a psychiatrist and part time artist/writer. I know its a lot of hard work and time but i can do it and I think you can too!!! It all depends of what uni are u aiming for if you wanna do because some uni with a b in or even c in A'level you can enter to Cs but It all depends on your commiment at the end of the day grades does not matter what matter are the skill and the passion you have for the subject therefore go for it and don't be scare

Might be difficult without maths brother in terms of when you apply to uni as you can’t apply to some of the Top top unis such as UCL, Oxbridge,LSE etc but i’m in the situation where i’d don’t do A Level Maths and i’m limited to some options for uni to try do economics there. Some of these unis include Uni of Birmingham, Uni of Leeds etc. Still Russell group unis where you don’t need A Level Maths to do economics. However they do require you to have a GCSE 7 in maths because once you enter the course you’ll be learning the A Level Maths that you’ll need to apply to your course (economics) And technically i’ve heard you end up on the same knowledge level as A level Maths students.But if economics really interests you and you really want to do it there must be a reason these unis think students without A level Maths can study it. I would definitely go for it just be prepared to work hard to catch up with the maths as the course is very mathematical based.

I'm pretty sure you have to take Economics. Lmao. Also, take maths/further maths (as the S1-5 modules cover a lot of applied economic concepts.) and if you're interested take Geography. Just my thoughts, so good luck!

@@nad8851 Also, sixth forms tend to give students about a month (could be more or less depending on the school) from when you start in which you're allowed to swap subjects, so don't worry about it too much!

When it says 'you might want to chose one or two of these' when talking about facilitating subjects. don't listen. Chose at least three, preferably four of them, because these are the only ones which test you fully, thus are the only ones universities are actually interested in. If you intend on going to a low ranked university, then do whatever, but for russell group, three of these is absolutely ideal.

This is rubbish - it really depends on the university and not just 'low ranked' ones. I have been to three russell group universities and my A-levels were in Music, Art, Philosophy and RS...

Yep but it varies some dentistry schools require you to have either taken biology or chemistry, some ask for both. You will also have to get work experience in like a dentistry office.

It would be best to take mathematics, computer science and a modern language - keeping your scope quite wide for universities to consider you as unique from other students...a modern language will also help you with syntax and grammar that programming languages have☺️

I REALLY want to study computer science at A-level but I don't plan on choosing maths alongside it. I also hate writing essays, so subjects like history are an absolute NO for me but I'm soo indecisive. The only other subject that I've considered picking is Spanish, but people are telling me to reconsider my options and choose something that goes well with cs, like maths, economics(?) or physics, which are all math related!! And I did say that I hate essay related subjects, but I somehow ended up getting 9s in English, so I ended up picking English Lit and Psychology too. About CS, it honestly hasn’t been terrible so far because I’ve been going over everything after the lesson, so if you do pick it, just make sure you’re going over the content regularly if you’re someone like me and forget things easily/needs a while to properly understand things. I will say that as someone who absolutely DETESTS maths with a passion (I barely managed to get a 6), struggle with the math at times like when we’re asked to create a program for calculator of some sort. I always do complete it in the end but just be aware that it definitely won’t be the last time your doing maths and seeing things like whatever a quadratic equation is, unless you’re choosing maths a-level or something. Just make sure that you aren’t struggling in silence and tell your teacher when you don’t understand something. Despite all that, out of all my subjects, CS is definitely the one I enjoy the most but I don’t want to say too much considering it’s only been one term😅. English is English and I’m not loving Psychology rn but it’s okay ig - the content is interesting. Don’t know if that’s what you wanted to hear but yeah!

Hello, I am a high school senior student. I have my SAT in 2 months, my APs in 4 months, CLEP in 5 months, board exams in 4 months and one subject test in 4 months. ( i gave one subject test and got 800, and 1400 in SAT but will give again.) My board is an indian board (CBSE). i was wondering, should i give AS and A level in 3 subjects in june? I am pretty sure I already know a lot of syllabus as it overlaps from other tests but I am still unsure and very confused. Do tell please.....

@@sneakerhead6625 im giving SAT, 2SAT subject tests, APs, CLEPs,AS and A-Levels, CBSE board exams and TOEFL(because im not from a country with english as first language, you should not have that problem). I scored 1400 in SAT the first time. I am gonna make another attempt on SAT this month. If I get 1540+, perfect. If I dont, I will give ACT in july. I will apply in early applications(september). What they were like? Not bad. I mean I am giving all these exams in one year with only few months to prepare for them. Usually people study years for each one of them. And so far I am doing pretty good. I scored 800 in subject test. If you could tell me about AS and A-Levels, I am interested in physics and mathematics. Can I apply in may? I want to see if I survive after another subject test, 5 board exams and 3 APs for another round of tests. And what textbooks do you ususlly study from?

@@kikimayi4104 I can’t tell you about physics, but i do maths. Applying in may is perfect, you’ll have enough time to revise and it’s the same kind of content as you will have already learned for the US tests and easier than what you learn in India. Depending on the exam board, you will have to use different books. The CGP ones are best and websites like seneca are great for interactive learning. Good luck! I’m also doing subject tests in Spanish and world history. I scored a 1500 in my last SAT but i might give an ACT instead because it has a science section. Which schools would you like to go to if you got into university abroad

@@sneakerhead6625 wow congrats on your SAT score! I gave my test long ago. Hope this weekend's SAT will get me to my 1500 benchmark as well. I completed the whole Uworld and khan academy. Giving ACT cant go wrong, it will only give you better opportunities. I would LOVE to get into ivy league tbh. I dont have a tutor and am basically self studying, so I am so confused about the books. There are Cambridge International, Edexcel, Pearson.... do you use any of these books? will cgp be enough?

Well, technically you can, since Matric is class 9-10 and A level is equivalent to 11-12, but I would really advise you not to. ... This is one of the many reasons why a Matric student shouldn't do A levels. In short: You really can't do A levels after Matric. You should go with FSc

I was wondering if anyone in the comments could help me out with A Level choices as I am a terribly indecisive person and I could use some advice! 😂 Basically I have chosen English Literature and History as my 'academic' subjects and Performing Arts as my other AS Level. I am happy with all these choices but I am stressing over whether I should go with a fourth option or not. In my school it is split half and half with people who take on three or four AS Levels and I know people usually only take three on to A2 and drop a subject but I'm worried I will be at a disadvantage with only three to begin with! So what I am asking is do you think I should take four AS Levels and if so what would you recommend with my other subject choices? Thanks xxx

Choose an extra subject that links to one of those subjects for a level. I'd recommend something that requires literacy skills, such as geography or economics.

Rachel Eachus I’d say thats enough if those are the only subjects you’re passionate about. If you pick 3 you’ll have more time to focus on them so that you can get the best grades possible. So I’d say pick a fourth if you really enjoy it or think it would be helpful to what you want to do in the future.
