Hi Mell, thank you for all your amazing help. I have a level 2 porosity thick hair. I am allergic to honey and gluten and was hoping to find a good clarifying shampoo. What non honey brands are your favorites? I just found you this week and my whole week has been taken up watching your videos for hours. I am excited to start loving my curls instead of fighting them. For the last 6 months,I have been using ACV as my clarifying rinse when needed and using a mix of raw coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil and aloe as my deep conditioner. My routine was to wash, condition, half air dry, then be frustrated and put it in a ponytail under a baseball cap and go work with the horses. I will still be working with my horses but I am excited to wear my hair down or at least in a loose, low pony or braid and not smashed in a hat every day.

Good to know about the bare minimum with leave in conditioner. I like to go naked curls sometimes just to give my hair products breaks! But my hair is pretty dry and low poristy. But just found out that it may be because of my hard water and what I was using to clarify with was just building up anyway in my hair! So been using ACV rinses to deal with it. I hope it works!
