Very useful tip for daily cleaning. Put 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water in a spray bottle. Use for perches and cage everyday. Very good solution for poops

I have a power washer once a week the bottom of the cage gets power washed once every three months the perches get tooth brushed. I don't use chemicals ever. Every other day food and water gets scrubbed. Baking soda is a very good and safe cleaning agent if needed. Lemon juice is good too.

Got two budgies untamed, they are just wild by spirits:) love them a lot Cleaning every day , hoover around the cage, change lining, clean water and top up seeds, new greens 🥬 and carrots 🥕 served Once a week got eggs 🥚 and sweet corn 🌽 and new seeds and sea shell 🐚, always keep a cuttlefish bone and iodine block to chew Once a few weeks wet wipe entire cage, change some toys but they don’t like new things and always get scared of new stuff , but love baths 🛀 Can’t wait to play with them 🐥🐥

I just got 3 budgies 4 days ago. I’m not really doing like deep cleans, like I do with my conure. Right now i just replace food and water for them, and I have replaced the cage liner once.

Most people are not going to do all of this cleaning a birdcage and its accessories on a daily basis. I've had budgies/parakeets since I was 7 years old, and my bird's cage was cleaned once a week and their food and water containers once a day, and they were happy and healthy birds.

don't listen to that other person if introduced properly you can have two budgies and they will still love you. also make sure you have different sized perches atleast 10 toys (i recommend making your own) (also use atleast 4 toys in the cage at once and switch them out occasionally so your budgie doesnt get bored) also make sure you can give them a proper diet (pellets, veggies, fruit, and seeds) and know how to get them to eat pellets. i recommend roudy bush or zupreem pellets. please do not give them a seed based diet. ugh sorry i just want to make sure your prepared they sure are a handful

@@duck3204 I've tried everything, they don't do anything but slowly they're learning because I got a cockatiel and they're influenced by him about how he acts because he loves humans, I'm just saying that because I had only 4 months to train them or they would go away so I just don't want others to experience the same thing. My bird is always fat during the day, puffed up, always goes on the floor, but enjoys being on perches, also she is still active. I can’t tell if she’s sick or not her tail bobs sometimes but not all the time it doesn’t bob most of the day.

If her tail bobs only sometimes it will be fine, my newer bird does the same, she is just not completely setteled in possibly. I brought my baby to the vet for tail bobbing and they said it was all okay, as long as it's not constant and very big motioned bobbing. And maybe the reason she stays puffed up alot may be not enough sleep, make sure to cover your birds cage with a light sheet and cut all noise in the room that your bird is in.

My budgie didn't like fruits or veggies at first either, now she will willingly eat them. I started by chopping veggies up very small and sprinkling the veggies in the food bowl with seed. At first the bird might not recognize the veggies as food, and that's why you must help your bird acknowledge that it is food, and you can indeed eat it. Once they eat the small diced pieces you can try bigger pices then slowly move up from there :)

You can't make them stop. Buy a cage skirt 3:29 they show what that is. Its a bird thing. Its probably seed hauls and seeds they don't like not sure they're just messy.

I have two budgies but I only find seeds on the floor around my cage. Put the food in dishes on the bottom of the cage. For now and see if that helps. they sell spill proof feeders. I use to put out bird feeders till the little finches kept dumping them out in two day's. Seed would be all over the ground. That's why I said it's a bird thing.
