One thing's for sure, AI does not get it right all the time. Thanks for the feedback, Mike 🧔

@@KitchenTipsOnline I agree about AI, but they got it right this time. Traditional French pronunciation is "oh GRAtan"

Yes, it is "oh gratin." It is a French phrase meaning something like "of the grating." Potatoes of the grating, or grated/sliced/chopped potatoes 😊

Have you tried just spraying it with that Dawn spray you use in step 2 and leaving it for a while? Thwn you don't need step 1!

Actually Lisa I have. And for some pans it works. Others not so much. I have used the method demonstrated in the video for years now as my go-to cleaning method because when I have tried dish detergent I did not get satisfactory results and wound up using OxiClean anyways. Mike 🧔

The boxed potatoes are nothing compared to when I make homemade scalloped potatoes. Holy crap, that is a mess and there have been too many times where I literally just wanted to toss out my casserole dish and buy another one. So what I've started doing is buying the disposable foil pans SPECIFICALLY for making my homemade scalloped potatoes. Once the potatoes are gone, I just toss the pan. Done.

Linda, now that you know the easiest way to clean your casserole dish there will be no need for you to buy throw away disposable pans. If you think about it, the first time you use the method demonstrated in the video please come back and let everyone know how it worked out for you. Mike 🧔

@@KitchenTipsOnline Well, I will have to buy the Oxi first. Is the powder better? Or does it matter which one you use?
@KitchenTipsOnlineАй бұрын
Linda, I have only used the granular detergent and that's what works for me. Mike 🧔

@@KitchenTipsOnline Thank you. I'll give it a try whenever I get around to buying some.
